I dont complain too much about this kind of thing anymore, it works for me as much as it does against me these days but for the good of the sport that was disgusting.
Horse was laid for almost £13500 grand at Betfair SP, a massive amount considering the normal for the price (Fav and 2nd Fav laid for approx £3000 grand apiece).
A real sickner by Hannon inside the final 2 furlongs.
February 26, 2009 at 22:53 #212497Yep … FH busted my double. I had a straight £5 double on Smokey Ryder and Friends Hope
February 26, 2009 at 23:07 #212500I backed it as well
the bit I liked, was were he looked to his right but not to his left in the home straight
February 26, 2009 at 23:11 #212501A pathetic effort from a poor rider. It’s no incidence that he’s 32 years of age and still claiming 5 lb. I backed the horse but didn’t see anything in it that made it dishonest, merely piss poor.

Agree and anything other than maximum effort and he should have the book thrown at him.
He gave the horse 2 smacks around 2 furlongs out to which the horse visibly responded and seemed to induce some sort of panic in the hapless Hannon who proceeded to look to his right (his right!!) fumble about with the reins, not use his whip again and finally imo all but drop his hands in the last 3/4 of a furlong. All with £13500 sitting in the BFSP lay column, a huge amount compared to the normal for a returned price of 8.0.
Pathetic.

Nothing you can do its just part of betting that you have to accept someone knows more than you.
