Possibly a bit far for me; it’s about a four hour drive I think.
Darnit!
January 11, 2007 at 11:00 #34886It wouldn’t be worth it, I suspect!
:(
January 12, 2007 at 17:24 #34887I was due to fly over for the Leopardstown Feb meeting last only to be foiled by ill-health. There’s a chance I could be persuaded to try again this year…
January 23, 2007 at 09:26 #34888Just thought I’d get this thread back up to the top as a reminder for eberyone.
Lucinda Russell and Peter Buchanan have agreed to have a chat to the group before racing so be prepared to get there a little earlier than you may have planned.
Full details will appear here once runners have been declared on Friday morning.
x
January 23, 2007 at 10:38 #34889I drove to Scotland at the weekend from Milton Keynes and Kelso was around about 4 hours so i’m tempted but it depends on weather and whether I can get a game of golf in on the saturday.. Put me down as a maybe though..
January 23, 2007 at 17:55 #34890Great Aragorn – all welcome
January 23, 2007 at 19:15 #34891Cormack,
My friend & his wife are coming along as well just in case numbers are important.
His new horse (trained by Lucinda) gets its first outing that day so that should add interest to the day for all of us.
January 23, 2007 at 23:10 #34892I’m on the can’t make it list now. Am back home in Yorkshire at the weekend.
Hope you all have a great day out and with so many racing brains pitted together at least finding the winners should be a doddle for you. ;)
January 24, 2007 at 06:02 #34893Have a great time everyone! I’m just sorry it’s too far for me. I’d have loved to join you.
January 24, 2007 at 10:01 #34894Kevin – that is brilliant – you are right that will add a real interest to the day.
Looking forward greatly to it, let’s hope the weather is kind.
I’ll post details Saturday of meeting places/times, etc so that we’re all not wandering around looking at people wondering if they look like Grasshopper might look!
January 24, 2007 at 12:21 #34895Advance weather forecast is reasonable at the moment, no significant rain forecast and Sunday cloudy. Cloud is what’s needed otherwise they take out the jumps in the straight.
The Class 2 Novice chase has a decent entry, and looks a decent event if a few stand their ground.

January 25, 2007 at 09:09 #34898I’m a maybe also. Hopefully will be first run for new horse (in the first race)….but I’ll only be attending of the missus gives birth before Sunday.
January 25, 2007 at 10:02 #34899Exeter – isn’t that in Czechoslovakia somewhere?
January 25, 2007 at 10:35 #34900Cormack
Come on, get with it! These days it’s either the Czech Republic or Slovakia!
Not sure what happened to the poor residents of O though!
