July 18, 2021 at 11:12 #1551203Have Tank and Gamble eloped to Gretna Green?
July 18, 2021 at 11:24 #1551207If so, Gamble’s definitely “taken one for the team” this time.

Newbury was too far for him for the forum meet up
either that or he got scared that Ricky Lake was going to give him a beatingGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
July 18, 2021 at 11:48 #1551209I am but 31 minutes drive from “The Racecourse, Newbury” as marketing call it nowadays.
I will really be struggling for a convincing excuse not to attend should there ever be a reprise at said venue.
I would still prefer Brighton or Bath, though.

July 18, 2021 at 12:36 #1551214I used to be a regular at Lockinge Day, but tbh for me (though local and convenient) Newbury is a vastly-overrated venue in terms of character despite being home to that race and the Hennessy.
I attended a TRF day at Towcester circa 2004 – now that’s a venue with character!

I am wondering what that was all about
For clarity I spoke to Ian on the phone a couple of times
Sounded ok to me 👍👍

Used to be a regular Haldon Gold Cup day back in the 90s and early noughties. It always falls near my birthday or sometimes on it, me being a sexy Scorpio. Prefer the quieter meetings these days. 3rd of Dec would be my preference.
If you are going on Tuesday, Nathan, best to phone first to make sure that there are some tickets left (card payment only)
October 28, 2021 at 22:01 #1564963I would be up for the December meeting
All things being ok

As long as it’s not raining. Exeter have a habit of letting the first two races go ahead in horizontal rain, then calling the meeting off with no refunds.
In real life; that’s probably only happened to me once or twice, but still.October 29, 2021 at 10:14 #1565025Thanks mr P. Noted
We will see closer to date. I would love to go in fairness
You can buy me a coffee(irish) to atone. For stitching me up over many years lol
Would be good to meet up in any event
👍

I will certainly buy you a drink but don’t recall ever stitching you up. It’s just banter
November 1, 2021 at 13:48 #1565759It’s a risky business meeting people off forums. Paulos and Ricky lake are very good blokes and remember enjoying going racing with Simon Rowlands but equally you can end up with a billynomates who brings cheese and pickles sandwiches to the races, never shuts up and pongs
