Mydaddypaddy looks very hard to beat here, but no shame in finishing runner up to Old Park Star, however far back he was, and I’ve taken Glance at Midnight here.
33’s at moment, but must be chance that he’ll go bigger

Diamond Hunter looked a really decent EW shot at 14/1, but unfortunately he is a non-runner. I think Mydaddypaddy is quite a short price.

Tomorrow’s Welsh National looks a cracker, from a punting perspective.Nice bet, RTB.
Pity to see a Grade 1 with four omitted hurdles, although I doubt it affected the result.
Can’t say the lack of hurdles up the straight played much of a part in the outcome as he was still cruising up until the point he came off the bridle as the rounded the last flight – I did wonder exactly what he would find if that were to happen and the result was surprisingly….very little.
He might be a bridle horses or just beating up on very inferior rivals but you can’t be anything but very disappointed with that performance……..unless something comes to light, it is very much back to the drawing board and surely they will have to run him again before March.
Winner was very determined and the only time he has been beaten was in the Champion Bumper when he finished 6th, just a length and a half behind the new Supreme favourite El Cairos.
