Clinton Woods clearly outpointed by Glen Johnson by 2 to 3 rounds in my book, manages to scrape a draw that even the home Sheffield crowd couldn’t believe.
I wanted Woods to win the crown, if only for the way he battled bravely against the invincible Roy Jones last year, but this was daylight robbery, and it was appalling to listen to the devastated Johnson’s post fight interview. The man’s clearly been on the end of a few dodgy decisions in the past and really deserved the rub of the green tonight, but didn’t get it.
The credibility of boxing has taken yet another body blow – how many more shots can it take before going down?
