Fit The Cove – Galway Tuesday

Just read on the BF Irish forum that there has been some agreement for Fit The Cove to run off 10-1 in a 55-80 hcp over 7f on Tuesday night at Galway next week, despite being rated 81.

The horse hasn’t won since … wait for it … winning a £56K 7f hcp at Galway festival last year. He actually won twice at the festival last year.

There was definitely more encouragement in his latest run, for all that he was beaten a fair way in the end. Think he needs to be on the shortlist for that Galway race myself.

Seems crazy that the horse is rated 81 and can still run in a race (supposedly) restricted to horses rated 55-80
