The Queens filly Fine Sight needs a bit of cut and with the ground good to soft in places hopefully she’ll be a bit happier on the surface than the others and take this.
4,000 win 5/4
Lost 2nd
Desire to Excel is as game as a pebble and beat much better horses than this lot last tme out. Hopefully she will continue to improve and take this in her stride. To be honest the rest look like they couldn’t raise a gallop between them which makes this a major bet. The ground is a slight worry but that’s the only thing I can see beating him.

Must admit I seemed to be very lucky there but not knocking it.

I was really impressed by Laheeb when he beat Big Bomber, winner since, when he won his maiden. Not only did he quicken up to take the lead, whithout being asked he quickend again when Big Bomber triedto come back at him. He looks keen as mustard, a real easy ride and this should be a penalty kick today. After he won his maiden he beat Sopranist comfortably enough and he went on to finish 2nd in a class 2 handicap this week at Goodwood.
The form looks rock solid and his oppononets look to have a lot of holes in their form. Doesn’t look a good race on paper and at 6/4 he looks a steal.

SMS’s Zacinto reappears at Goodwood today. One time favourite for the 2000 Guineas but it hs to be said a false one he kicks of in a listed race. That’s not unusual for SMS horse who’s had a long lay off and many of them win but I just can’t fancy this one.
It wasn’t just the fact he ws beaten by one of AOB’s lesser lights that puts me off it the proximity of some of the other runnes that suggests to me it wasn’t great form. The other factor is the vibes you would expect to get from a potential classic horses aren’t there. It could be he’s a lazy horse at home but there’s no sparkiling gallop reports that’s for sure.
So I am reluctantly deserting SMS for once and having a bet on Frankies mount Donativum who could be good value at 4/1 if SM’s has any chinks in his armour this horse will find them.
There’s not a lot to chose between Saeed Suroor’s Ashram and Gallacher on form which in itself a bit of a tip for Donativum with Frankie having the choice of rides. As it goes against the grain to take on a potential SMS star I’m having what I think is a a safe bet here to reduce liability should he lose.

Don’t know if we are supposed to get tips for the Queens horses but there a right royal one going about for Quadrille who is supposed to be more than useful. Missed the 2/1 guess she was on first

Having a bit of fun today :Sacrilige to win by 8 lengths or less at 11/8 Used to be trained by JJ Quiin and looks a steal for a horse who is normally held up to come late.

I’ve been swithering all day about the listed race at Newbury. Everything that Fallen In Love has raced against seems to have run behind Midday yesterday. She made them all look very ordinary but that could also be said a bout SMS’s Phillipina.
Phillipina look sto have the ground in her favour which could swing things her way but I think she is very poor value as she lacked the zip to get past Perfect Truth 3 races back.
Although John Dunlop’s horses have been running badly this is one poor contest for a listed race. It won’t take a lot of winning and his filly looks to be improving.

Been a fun day so had one more bet before bed.
None of the front two seem to be overly fancied in the Bumper and I liked the way French Hollowwon for Tim F last time.
I think they will have to be a bit special to beat him2000 ew French Hollow 7/1

Richard Hannon drops Sister Cement in class tonigt. She was robbed last time out when badly hampered in the closing stages and would definitely have won easily but for that. Little wonder she’s fancied today.
The owner, who has has horses with Barney Curly, is very likely to hammer this one so the bookies won’t be taking any chances.,
She very obvious but really should be way too good for this lot..I have grabbed 2/1 about her and suggest ayone with a few bob to spare grab what price they can. If by any chance she drifts I’ll be backing her again.

I don’t why Harry Findlay moved Wake Board from Evan Williams to Tim Vaughan’s yard but one things for sure. Wake Booard is no way as good as Danehill Willy who Mam Ratagan ran to 1 1/2 lengths at Ffos.
Granted Wake Board gets 1stone here but this flashy bay gelding has looked as useless as they come in his last two outings..
Last time out he looked well about himself when out in front and having things his own way but the minute he was challenged he found a big fat zero bouncing up and down on the same spot he harely held on to 3rd. He hadn’t ran for a long time and perhps he blew up but this horse flopped badly before when 4/9 fav an beaten 11 lengths into 4th.
The fact he goes fencing, drops back to 2miles and should strip fitter than last time may all help but I can’t see this horse winning..as they say "I think he’s a bad ‘un"Paul Nichols would need all his magical skills to get Predateur to win on his last run. He went out like a light when challenged last time out losing 20 lengths over the last two fences and was about dropping on the run in.
I doubt if the betting would be as it is if Harry Findlay didn’t own Wake Board which is ok by me.
I see Mam Ratagan as real good value at 5/2
2500 pts win Mam Ratagan 5/2

Fist, I thought the same. But this was a false race, wake board went like the clappers for the first mile and paid the price in the second lap. It made mistakes, and was lucky to hold on for second. Predateur made a bad error at the last on the first circuit and looked to be a disappointing run again. He threatened to stop for the last 100 yards, and walked in. I still don’t understand why Man Ratagan ran such a bad race?
Predateur is worth opposing next time out.
