I suppose it might be billed as a match between the first two in the market, if the ground was good enough. I’m sure Journey won’t be short of backers all the same.
October 9, 2016 at 12:18 #1266370ZHUKOVA 7/2
I put her up in my thread i get the feeling from Weld he thinks she is best mare has trained. way he talks about her very gushing he is. this race been her long term target Weld has best record at this Champions day event to had 5winners. so knows how to prepare horses for this time of year be coming here like a fresh horse to.
October 9, 2016 at 21:07 #1266472That’s right Dazza. She’s well thought of, and i doubt her price will get any bigger. O’Briens horse is pretty much the same price, but more ground dependant. Journey has been on course for this too. I do like Seventh Heaven, but 7/2 would be fairer on the day. Might be showers.
October 13, 2016 at 21:56 #1266929i think we shall go for a big price girl called bateel at 20/1 i really think we not seen the best of her yet. also back to a 1 mile and a 1/2 i think everything is in her favour for a massive run ew guys
October 14, 2016 at 07:42 #1266946If the going is good it’s seventh heaven if rain comes if go for journey. If zhukova is to have a chance then us army ranger must have place claims in the champions stakes. Can’t understand why she is so short in the betting and is much shorter than journey and speedy boarding in such a strong renewal of the race. Then what do I know.
October 14, 2016 at 15:19 #1266991Seventh Heaven should be difficult to beat here. imo It’s not going to be any softer than for the Irish Oaks. Even if ignoring the fact she beat Found last time out – has form to win an average running of this race. Zhukova has a fair chance, but neither US Army Ranger or Bondi Beach were at their best last time and she had the run of the race. Thing that puts me off more than anything though is cheek pieces for the first time. Why would you put them on after three excellent efforts? Looking at Seventh Heaven’s form, Queen’s Trust travelled best of all at York, wasn’t far behind the Coolmore pair and improving. Even with a slight doubt about whether she’ll quite get home here, it’s drying up all the time and 14/1 is surely big enough to take a chance on stamina? Journey won as her form suggested last time and looks under-estimated. I’d have been very keen on her – from the in form Gosden yard – if it wasn’t for Coolmore’s probable pacemaker Pretty Perfect likely to take Journey on. Latter did well last time considering set a suicidal pace. imo Should’ve beaten Simple Verse. That was over further and I believe they should go a decent pace tomorrow – possibly favouring hold up horses. However, saved on both those front-runners as the most likely reason for my two main bets getting beat is imo pace/luck in running. Speedy Boarding seemed advantaged from racing more prominently than So Mi Dar last time. Probably flattered and – speed her forte – may not e suited by conditions. Bateel is interesting from an in form yard. Slowly run 10f last time out didn’t suit her. Won a 12f listed race on very soft ground in the Spring (another saver). Architecture looks exposed; Even Song out of form and Promising Run doubtful stayer. Rest don’t appear good enough.
My 100% Book:
SEVENTH HEAVEN 13/8, Zhukova 9/2, Journey 6/1, QUEEN’S TRUST 10/1, Bateel 16/1, Speedy Boarding 20/1, Pretty Perfect 25/1, Architecture 33/1, Even Song 66/1, Promising Run 132/1, California 132/1, Bocca Baciata 200/1, Malificent Queen 500/1.I’ve backed Seventh Heaven @ 2/1 and Queen’s Trust @ 14/1, with savers on… Journey @ 7.4/1, Bateel 22/1 and Pretty Perfect 33/1.
Value Is EverythingOctober 14, 2016 at 18:12 #1267014Blimey Ginge two days in a row we agree!!
I am on Queens Trust at 14/1 and Seventh heaven at 5/2
October 14, 2016 at 18:28 #1267020I’d get on seventh heaven now as I can see the lads piling in with the ground now officially good all over. Found I imagine will also be heavily backed and maybe minding. Can see oosg being turned over on the ground. journey for me.
October 14, 2016 at 19:39 #1267030Architecture has run well a few times without winning and appeals as a small EW bet at 25s.
October 15, 2016 at 14:24 #1267298Small bet on even Song @ 25’s e/w

Nath i wish congratulations were in order. My main bet was Zhukova. I done a ginge with this race, and lost quite a few quid. Had a rubish champions day, and the breeders cup was no better, summed up by Songbird and Valadona. If there luck going around, i haven’t had much. Back to ante post world.
November 6, 2016 at 12:59 #1271031Can’t believe I didn’t back Queens Trust last night.
