Reminded of B d’Air looking invincible after hammering Samcro in this race; just turned out that Samcro had been overrated. But impressive nonetheless

BDA was a much better/slicker hurdler than Sir Geno will ever be – much will depend on what CH does (or doesn’t) do over Christmas as to where Sir Geno ultimately ends up. If CH gets to and wins at Kempton that doesn’t leave a lot of time for SG to get some practice/experience over fences if they switch him back to the Arkle.

The bare form of today’s run is nowhere near good enough to warrant the price he now is for the Champion Hurdle but it was a decent start to the season and all options are still on the table either way.

Hype machine has kicked into overdrive. I’m sure he’s probably a very good horse and you can only beat what you can beat but hes beaten County Hurdle horses off levels.

As far as Mystical Power goes. Couldn’t ever back a horse as keen as he is despite already wearing a hood. Did I read somewhere they were thinking about the stayers for him? Good luck with that project he wouldn’t have settled in a Nunthorpe today.

“Made for a rubbish grade 1 that needs demoted along with a lot of other early season G1s.”

Reminds me a bit of the Welsh Champion Hurdle. Runner up rated 145, the 3rd placed horse 136. This one is miles away from being a G1, but the winner was still very impressive and simply has to go for the CH this season.

He looks a cracking horse . Impressive even allowing for average field .
For the good of racing he needs his unbeaten record kept intact at all costs , I would assume they consider mothballing the horse from now on , maybe straight to Champion Hurdle or even bypass that and put him away for Fighting Fifth again next year . They could consider an open gallop later in season if they want to give it a right go .

    Was a decent performance.

However, 40-1 vs 5-1 i think Anzadam was every bit as impressive. Some of last years formlines don’t suggest there’s much between them right now either.

Sir Gino was very impressive but I saw nothing to suggest an on song CH wouldn’t trounce him.

CH’s slick jumping at high speeds would overwhelm Sir Gino like it does every other good horse.

I placed this double yesterday and with a little luck over the Christmas period, it could be on. Need both CH and State Man to turn up and impress. The immergence of Anzadam yesterday could be another boost to Sir Gino heading over fences soon.

    Sir Gino – Arkle – 9/1
    Constitution Hill – Champion Hurdle – 9/2

With a bit of luck that could be the bet of the meeting.

They need to make this race a handicap
