Why are the BHA allowing race meetings to be held at Ffos Las?
Since I have been speed handicapping, the going at Ffos Las is normally on the desperate side, yesterday a new record for the worst going allowance I have ever seen, when I worked out the going allowance on the hurdles course to be -2.95s/f (very heavy).
It is plainly obvious to me that the drainage no longer works, and yesterday in the 3.40 chase you had 8 of the 11 fences omitted.
This is my normal turf going allowance table:
Turf going allowance table:
Firm +0.55s/f to +0.63s/f
Good/firm +0.20s/f to +0.53s/f
Good -0.25s/f to +0.18s/f
Good/soft -0.55s/f to -0.28s/f
Soft -1.00s/f to -0.58s/f
Heavy -1.58s/f to -1.03s/f
It looks like I will have to add a new "very heavy" category to accommodate Ffos Las and a couple of Irish courses.
