a wet windy evening at Wolverhampton.
Or indeed, a wet windy Monday afternoon at Wolverhampton. Proper racing.
June 21, 2007 at 11:29 #65401Aragorn,
I have no problem with alcohol at all.
It is just the "prats" that shovel it down their throats in vast quantities in the shortest time possible and then proceed to inflict their antics on others.
It seems to be endemic in this country.

June 21, 2007 at 12:12 #65402There was an interesting little debate on betfair radio last night about the empty stands over the first few days. The whole issue centred around pricing of the event, which would certainly put me off attending far more than alcohol, snobbery, dress code – although obviously these all add into the cost of the day as well.
This is the cue for a string of "Longchamp on Arc day" responses!

it was so good …..waterproof mascara of course was a necessary requirement today

June 22, 2007 at 11:43 #654061 5 day badge for the Royal Enclosure (and it’s not much more than 5 days in Tattersalls) costs as much as Club House passes for 10 people to Saratoga (36 days)
And the folks there will drink as much as the dross at Royal Ascot-and barely an arrest or caution is made.
