Obviously our resident Coral odds compiler TDK was as impressed as I was by Denman on Saturday, given that they now go 6/4. You would think, therefore that they’d be top price some of the other market-leaders, but not a bit of it- they go 2/1 Kuato, 7/1 Exotic, 12/1 My Way.
The front 4 take out 93% for a race that is 3 months away for staying chasers that are notoriously difficult to keep sound.
What’s going on James- should we pack in this ante-post lark and play the FOBTs instead?The front three look miles clear of the pack to us and it probably needs all three to get injured for one of them not to win. Admittedly it may not be very exciting not to be taking a big view against any of them, but I don’t think it makes sense to do so at this stage and what other firms want to do is entirely up to them.

Fair enough though, I agree with you. Wonder if you get many short-sighted pensioners backing Denman at 6/4…..Lol. When it is a 6 runner race on the day and Denman hacks up by the length of the hill at 5-6 he will feel he has nicked a bit of value

TDK – the new year’s specials section of the Racing Post is only four weeks away and I’ve had a hefty wager with a mate that No Morals will be chalking up single figures about at least one named horse winning the triple crown.

These specials often end up looking bad value prices, simply because people seem to want to back them at all rates.
We were laying Teofilo at 10s to win the Triple Crown, so what were we meant to do? Go 25s?

Won’t be 6/4 after the King George and a fitter than last time Kauto Star wins by 8 lengths on the bridle…….on the day you will readily get 9/2 about Denman who will get his ass felt big time in the race.
