Has died.
Suffered a heart attack.

Awful news, a beautiful looking horse and a decent racehorse.
RIP.
April 2, 2009 at 19:33 #219774Where have you seen this?
That is really, really sad news. He was one of my favourites. Fantastic horse just a bit unlucky to be around the same time as Kauto Star.
R.I.P. my old mate.
April 2, 2009 at 19:33 #219775Terrible terrible news. RIP Exotic.
April 2, 2009 at 19:33 #219776Has just been on BBC2.
I can’t believe it.
That is such awful news.
April 2, 2009 at 19:34 #219777Bad news indeed Gaz. I really hope there are no more. Mel in blue, I think, also died after a horror fall.
April 2, 2009 at 19:36 #219780Much as I look forward to this meeting I dread it as well; have lost so many of my favourite horses here…very heavy heart; r.i.p.Exotic Dancer.
April 2, 2009 at 19:40 #219784What an absolutely stinking rotten Godawful day it has been, i hope to God the rest of the meeting gets better. Condolences to the connections of Mel In Blue (please BBC move that bloody landing side camera!) and Exotic Dancer.
April 2, 2009 at 19:42 #219785This is absolutely gutting news which puts the whole meeting into perspective.
Whilst the Grand National is an important singular event, Exotic Dancer was one of those important regular events. One whoms consistant heroics as National Hunt’s bravest nearly horse keeps the public interested in horse racing. I have countless fond memories of this great animal as I’m sure everybody here does.
Rest in peace Exotic one.
April 2, 2009 at 19:42 #219786Very, very sad news. Rest well Exotic Dancer.
April 2, 2009 at 19:43 #219788Very sad news indeed
April 2, 2009 at 19:44 #219789It was pretty obvious poor mel in blue was a fatality.
April 2, 2009 at 19:54 #219795a very sad day for racing
April 2, 2009 at 19:54 #219796Sad news indeed. Thoughts to all connections.
April 2, 2009 at 19:59 #219798The news has moved me to tears
. Such a brave horse. I feel so sad for all connections but particularly for the lad/lass that looked after him. They’ll be going back with an empty horse box and an empty heart.R.I.P.
April 2, 2009 at 20:00 #219799RIP I will miss him
April 2, 2009 at 20:08 #219803What a truly brave and consistent horse! Somehow this seems even more shocking because he always appeared to be so tough – and to have such a brave heart. How vulnerable they are really.
April 2, 2009 at 20:08 #219804My heart goes out to Jonjo, Barry and all connected to the horse.
Thankfully they have that great day when he won the Lexus firm in their memories.
Never did a horse and connections deserve a Group 1 win more than they did.
R.I.P. ED
