In the absence of the home nations (inc ROI) I thought it’d add some spice if we had a Euro 2008 competition on the forum so…
Very simply all you have to do is nominate the 5 players who you think will score most goals. BUT I have handicapped the players as outlined below – so your selections goals will be deducted those allocated in my handicap.
I’ll send the winner a nice Football book of their choice from a shortlist I’ll post in a day or two.
To enter just post on here with the names of your 5 players. Deadline is kick off time Saturday.

1. There are 2 Gomes’ on the list – which guy is the German?
2. Do all selections have to be from that list or if others are selected do they start from scratch[/color:1r30xo4c]

June 6, 2008 at 22:16 #167004Sorry – should have made it clear – all other players start from scratch. Anyone who has entered and wants to change in light of that new info please feel free so long as you make the change before K.O. time tomorrow.
The German Gomez (sorry, original post should have said Z not S) is -3, The Portuguese Gomes is -1.
Sorry again – put this together hastily.
Was going to give the book ‘English Football – The Glory Years’ but had a closer look and there was only one chapter in it.
Worth having the competition just to get the opportunity to slide that wee gag in!
