I came across this Excel sheet a few weeks ago and although you can no longer copy and paste from Sporting Life site, I have found a way to use HRB to enter the data into it.

    RaceAdvisor

I am wondering if anyone else has tried it?
So far I have not had a great deal of success to be honest.

    This is the 14:25 Newbury.

Hi Purwell…. I used to be a member at one point and this is a good service, the only problem that I had was the amount of work involved. I needed something that was quick and simple, I found that, using the database that I currently use…. took me over a year to get it all set up and the correct parameters put in place and then another 12 months proofing / tweaking, but I am now happy to sit back and let the database pick my selections for the day.
I think it will be the same with HRB, it’ll take ages to get it right, but once you’ve hit it, all the hard work is done for you…. I use PR to the exclusion of all else and now just let the profits roll in…. well worth the many hundreds of hours spent…..

This technical stuff takes me out of my comfort zone I am afraid Purwell and although I am unable to make any constructive comment I do wish you well with any you choose to post but out of interest or simply being bloomin’ nosey I will have a look despite expecting not to be able to understand.

I have not looked much further into the site to be honest.

It just seemed a reasonable Excel sheet and it would have been very easy to do before Sporting Life site changed their presentation.

I have found a way of doing it from HRB that is a bit long winded but only takes about 5 minutes per race.

Thanks but I’m reasonably happy with HRB and I have written a macro in Excel to enter the six OR’s into the RaveAdvisor sheet which works OK.
To be honest I’m not really convinced this sheet is going to work very well.

Is it not about time you retired Purwell and took Bedsey away on a long holiday?

Sold the van earlier in the year and I would have been retired 20 years ago if it hadn’t been for the old witch destroying my industry.

There are many witches about Purwell and they can come in many guises. Never mind what has been but look at your glass as being half full.

It is a sad thing to say but we must face up to adversity as I have found to my detriment within the past 24 hours, life can be very hard and very, very cruel but there are many worse off than you and I.

That was a surprise statement Purwell, I thought that I was the only one to suffer under MT…. sold my house to pay my workforce of 12, then went to the wall….. what saved me???…. what did me and my wife survive on???… honestly mate, it was my betting. The pro’s that I met and worked with during the good times, made my life easier, not easy by any stretch of the imagination, but earned enough every month to enable me to survive without resorting to benefits (except housing benefit)…. I just refused to let MT grind me to dust. I was knocked down, but only the powers ABOVE will knock me out….. glad you survived those year Purwell, I have friends that never made it….
