Thanks BigG. I backed him after he won at Leopardstown last September. I thought he showed quality and courage that day, which is what he has done today.

It was Moore’s interview after the Leopardstown race that made up my mind. He usually keeps a straight face and keeps his cards close to his chest. But he could not keep the smile off his face or the enthusiasm out of his voice. O’Brien obviously thought he had a good one as well.

    LOL

With all you give out, Ian…
Surprising you can’t take some criticism yourself.

Racing is all about opinions.
“People” / TRFers can have any opinion they like, whether they “should” have that opinion is another thing.

It was really no surprise but I had committed to Military Order after his imptessive last run but the question remains..what is s ailing the Appleby horses?
Certain Waipiro would have got us a place Graham if he hadn’t fluffed the start. He’ll win a nice race soon.
Well done also Cork with AR..at least I have him in my TTTF..phew
Ginger you just can’t knock that performance and he still looks to be growing into his frame..Superstar.💫💫Jac

Hoiles totally missed the fact King Of Steel had taken up the running.

It was a good performance Jac.
Just don’t think it is quite as good as the distance back to the third / field would usually indicate.

Lost for words. Reminds me of one my fav horses of all time mtoto. Beautiful looking beast. Must admit I let out a huge scream as he hit the front. Get bloody well in. White birch looks like a good bet for the Irish Derby.

This could be one of those strange years when most of the horses who’ve contested in this race might be turning the tables on each other throughout the rest of the season.

Needs to improve a bit I think – Emily has the far better change of gear as she clocked a faster furlong of 10.52s compared to AR (10.73s), King of Steel (10.66s) and White Birch (10.67s).

Interesting to note that the first 3 home all clocked a faster final 3F than Emily did but she was being eased in the last half furlong or so where the colts were being ridden right out.

    Final 3F Sectionals
    Emily: 10F (10.52s), 11F (10.90s) & 12F (12.06s) Total: 33.48s
    AR: 10F (10.83s), 11F (10.73s) & 12F (11.45s) Total: 33.01s
    KOS: 10F (10.66s), 11F (10.90s) & 12F (11.58s) Total: 33.14s
    WB: 10F (10.67s), 11F (10.82s) & 12F (11.76s) Total: 33.25s

Will be interesting to see if they do clash – I would hope that the clash could happen either in the Eclipse or King George but it might be more likely to be the Arc.

Suspect there may be a reluctance for AOB to take on Emily Upjohn when speed is key.
…And a reluctance for Gosden to take on Auguste when stamina is key.
