tbf Don’t think many are dismissing Desert Crown as an “ordinary Derby winner”, Clive.

Can see the third Westover improving again too.
Suspect Stone Age and Changingoftheguard will prove better than their positions. Fireworks possibly had a detrimental effect.

First chance to test the form tomorrow, with Nahanni going in the Queen’s Vase. He was reportedly one of those worst affected by the idiotic fireworks display at Epsom.

Haven’t read anyone here or anywhere dismissing the Derby winner or the Derby form.

Keeping an open mind about the merit of the form until it is tested is something else entirely and something that occurs every year.

    Good business.
Although Hoo Ya Mal improved a lot to be second in the Derby, he is the one in the frame with the least potential going forward. That said, hopefully he’ll run in the King Ed (before going to Aus) where he obviously has a good form chance.

I’d think the owners were laughing there way to the bank

Though some average British horses have had plenty of success in Australia I guess

    Like zaaki for instance

Classic runners up can vary in subsequent endeavours from Dancing Brave to Glory Awaits (still waiting) – safe to say this one will lie somewhere between the two.
