Bookiebabe: I await your latest report re World Domination. I have heard very good reports from a mate down South so i hope he is working well still.
Thanks for passing on the info
April 4, 2011 at 16:48 #348633New to this, but was having a little look at the earlier posts.
I know a little bit about Cecil’s World Domination. Watched it on the gallops last week and it finished half a length behind Frankel. I’m going to watch it wednesday up the lime kilns again. It’s running in Wooditton at the Craven, entered for the 2000g, but it’s highly likely that it won’t run. I work for Coral and we’ve shortened it to 20s now, had a little bit of interest on it, but it’s been kept pretty quiet, which is a good sign. I’ll speak to Cecil on weds, he’s got a few other nice 3-y-o’s at the moment.
I’m going to the Craven so we’ll see how he performs then
[/color:1fbpp4md]Will be keen to hear how they go on Wednesday. Sorry but are you sure it was Frankel WD finished behind? Racing Post man reported Frankel finished 20 lengths clear of Bullet Train last week. Also World Domination not entered in Guineas as far as I can see.

April 5, 2011 at 11:57 #348709Recital in the Ballysax.
Good start
April 6, 2011 at 16:56 #348898Regarding French entries for the Derby, the shortest French colt in antepost betting is Bago’s half-brother Maxios who runs in a very strong renewal of the Prix La Force on Sunday. Lines up against other good prospects like Prairie Star (3rd to Recital at Saint-Cloud last year), Staros and Pour Moi.
Also, Vadamar won a Listed race at Saint-Cloud last Sunday, well enough that his connections are considering the Lingfield Derby Trial.
April 7, 2011 at 13:33 #349047Twelve horses were added to the Derby 2011 hopefuls at the second entry stage at a cost of £8,000.

April 7, 2011 at 17:48 #349079Looks like Sunday is going to give us the first real pointers to the Derby this year, what with the Ballysax and the French race.
I noticed Maxios has been nibbled at in the markets for the Derby. I wonder is it anything to do with the same stable’s Genzy making a very slick debut at Saint Cloud at the end of last month, with the French Derby being mentioned as a possible target for him.
Just guessing (wishful thinking!) that if he (Genzy) wins his next race Jonathan Pease might want to keep Genzy and Maxios apart (I acknowledge they are in different ownership).
April 8, 2011 at 06:27 #349176Does anyone know when we will see this Cecil Horse so (WD obviously).
I am very surprised that he is not from a Cape Cross or a Montjeu or something but Empire Maker a dirt bred Horse. That makes this hype even more baffling
World Domination is entered in the Download Blue Square iPhone App Maiden Stakes over ten furlongs at Newmarket next Wednesday at 5:20.
Empire Maker ran exclusively on dirt, but on breeding he is slightly less dirt bred than was Sadlers Wells or Nijinsky. And, of course Northern Dancer was a dirt-bred horse running exclusively on dirt but had huge influence on turf racing in Europe. After Empire Maker’s first few crops were so successful in the USA, (getting a host of good horses and five Grade 1 winners in his first four years) one of the main breeding operations in Japan bought him for an undisclosed sum last November. A couple of his 2yo breeze-ups were sold for over $700,000 just a month or so ago. He was standing at $50,000 in 2010. Long gone are the days when Japan bought second class stallions from the rest of the world. These days they are always on the lookout to find another Sunday Silence, who died a few years ago after siring the winners of races worth over $700 million, still the world record.

I think people must be seeing things with regard to this horse! He is NOT entered in the 5.20 on Wednesday but his stable companion Midsummer Sun is.
Hopefully we will see World Domination appear in the entries for real soon!

April 8, 2011 at 07:50 #349187I expect to see him entered for the Wood Ditton later on today.
p.s. Voodoo Prince 90s on the machine, looks like he won’t be making it.

You are right. I was seeing things. Sorry about that. I could try various excuses, but that is all that they would be – excuses. The real reason was that my brain was not in gear that early in the morning. Thank goodness that my ancestor met the sabre-toothed tiger in the afternoon rather than the morning, otherwise the human gene pool would never have contained the genes for early-morning brain fade. I shall try to be more alert before I become eager to read, and post on, TRF.
April 8, 2011 at 15:51 #349268So happy Ryan Moore rides this fella….soo soo happy. (Recital that is).
This could be a start of a beautiful realsionship..Punting and otherwise

Well the complete opposite has happened. Voodoo Prince has been entered and World Domination’s missing from the line-up.
April 8, 2011 at 16:46 #349276The money on the machine for World Domination is bordering on scary/farcical. Currently up there at 14 to back, 18 to lay. Voodoo Prince 85 to back.
April 8, 2011 at 16:55 #349279I don’t think in my short time following this sport has their been a more hyped horse.. Lets hope he delivers
April 8, 2011 at 17:23 #349285Maxios
Pour Moi
Baraan
Staros
Priare StarAll run at longchamp on Sunday for those interested in France
April 8, 2011 at 17:32 #349288MV – please don’t beat yourself up about it. I thought I once saw a ghost in my bedroom. A face appeared that was so white, so ugly and hideous that my blood froze. Turned out to be my wife.
My guess is WD will make his LONG awaited appearance on Saturday. There is a mile maiden at Newbury. The only problem might well be the ground. Good to Firm at Newbury and the last thing any trainer wants is super fast ground first time out.
Might also give them cause to think about Frankel……..

I doubt it. From what I can tell, Ballydoyle want Moore badly, but I think he anticipates that the relationship wouldn’t last more than a couple of years, and has made it clear that he will stick with Stoute. I guess he is fine to pick up Ballydoyle rides on non-Stoute (or "lean", if you will
) days, but not when his boss needs him.I would have wondered why AOB would use him at all, then, because surely you’d want your horses develop a relationship with their jockeys (and come big race day, Moore will be on Workforce/Carlton House/Sea Moon/Cape Dollar/etc rather than Cape Blanco/Recital/Misty For Me/etc), but then again, AOB seems to not have much regard for the horse-jockey relationship of late.
