Bos: I can see where you are coming from but Epsom is rarely soft these days and Nathaniel deffo looks like he wants cut to show his best.
For me the St Leger looks his race at the moment especially taking into account Mr Gosdens good record in the race.
May 6, 2011 at 13:46 #354062Sorry lads but the ride Buick gave that was terrible.
What was he doing not sending the horse on earlier to win the race. A confirmed stayer getting done for pace is just poor judegement.
Certainly would have a massive question mark about the jockey for the future. Not buying into Buick at all.
May 6, 2011 at 14:25 #354067He’s been riding poorly all season, Ruby. Had a nice stint at the start of last season but otherwise hasn’t looked great.
May 6, 2011 at 14:27 #354070Any chance St Nic goes for this?
May 6, 2011 at 14:30 #354071How Ryan Moore won that race on a free sort who has defeated all the 3yr old trends regarding Aidan O Brien is just mind boggling.
I still cant believe he won tbh.
May 6, 2011 at 14:49 #354076Sorry for this hideous after-timing but I’m not too sure how he went off odds-against. Aidan never has his horses ready first time out, especially in March/April. Yeats came on about 1 1/2 stone for his first run as a 4yo for example. Didn’t have much on, still slightly concerned whether the ability was still there, but twas enough and have a treble going onto Fly and So Young.
May 7, 2011 at 10:13 #354255Sea Moon has no entries pre-Derby, neither has Marksmanship who I imagine will go for the Ballysax, won by Jan Vermeer last year. Basically they’re both out of the Derby picture.

No UK runner in the Derby Italiano this afternoon. Owners have either given up on the long wait for prizemoney payouts in Italy or everyone thinks the Epsom race is wide open. I think it could be more of the latter.

Oops I missed the Marco Botti runner. It’s Italaian owned and bred though and has been in Italy for a while including a prep race.
May 7, 2011 at 14:01 #354293Zarakava,
Marksmanship can still go for the Gallinule like Jan Vermeer last year.
Anyone know a link to watch the big French race today?

May 7, 2011 at 14:04 #354297Zarakava, doh!
Sorry Zarkava.
May 7, 2011 at 17:01 #354318Pour Moi wins beating a decent enough field. Only saw the photo of the finish but looks as if he has won by a couple of lengths with the jockey looking behind him.
Arguably he is now Coolmore’s no.1 for the Derby as we apeak with both Recital and Seville still to prove themselves this season.
Acknowledge things may change in the next few days! But at the moment I can dream! I’ve backed him at 250+ on the machine.
May 7, 2011 at 17:55 #354328Flaming Nora! He’s only 8/1 with Ladbrokes.

Sorry, when I said Ballysax I meant Gallinule. Would be very surprised if Pour Moi came over here. He’s not good enough.
May 7, 2011 at 21:11 #354347Zarkava have you heard anything re Jan Vermeer?
May 7, 2011 at 21:26 #354350I heard the same as everyone else last season, middle-distance Group 1s this season. Just wonder if he’s been sold. He’s pretty unnecessary with the older horse ammo they have this year. He’s not good enough either.
