3rd ODI on Friday at 1:30pm.
Now, I see the following as good prices – they stand out from the other bookies quoting the same players.
Corals go:
Top Bat WI – L Simmons
15/2
Top Bat Eng – R Bopara
11/2
I know neither are the respective "star" performers for their sides.
Both look in good enough touch, though, and assuming Simmons opens for WI – 15/2 is surely wide of the mark?
Your thoughts, Gents?

March 26, 2009 at 15:56 #218469According to Oddschecker, you can get 12-1 about Simmons being top West Indies scorer with P Power and Boylesports. I know Chanderpaul and Sarwan must be favourites, but 12-1 does seem rather high.
As does the 101 for Dwayne Bravo with Bluesquare and 888. Is he injured?
March 26, 2009 at 16:08 #218470I haven’t got a PP or Bsports account. If I do get an internet account it would be Betfair. I’ll be limping (sprained ankle) to Corals tmrw morning – it’s the only one near to where I’m working.
12/1 is definitely massive for an opening batsman!!
There do not seem to be any injury worries for the windies, only cash worries: http://www.sportinglife.com/cricket/new … spute.html
Othewrise, I do not see why Brave is so over-priced

March 26, 2009 at 19:49 #218497Oops – I was looking at series top runscorer!
Bravo is around 6-1 for this game, rather mean in the circs.
Good article on Cricinfo by Tony Cozier about the players actions. Probably right to demand more remuneration from the inept WICB but a little short-sighted in view of the financial realities of the sport in the Caribbean.
March 27, 2009 at 17:50 #218655So, I poodle off to Corals to obtain those fabulous advertised prices on my selections…to find out that:
Simmons 11/2 (top Windies bat)
Bopara 9/2 (top Eng bat)
I checked the prices on oddschecker.com at approx 10:30am this morning and they were still 17/2 & 11/2 respectively. Maybe the prices were incorrect on oddckr – or maybe the bats have been nibbled in the interim time?
Anyone else had a wager?

Loved watching Nasser Hussain get steamed up after the game. He’ll do himself an injury if he carries on like that.
Looking forward to reading all about how KP feels tomorrow. What new trauma will have occurred in the great man’s life that he feels he needs to share with us? Lumpy pillows in the hotel? His steak underdone? ‘My Main Course Hell’ – exclusive interview with the greatest ever former England captain.
$1.55m? I wouldn’t pay ’em in washers.
March 30, 2009 at 18:55 #219252I really don’t know why KP had a go at Chanderpaul.
They all need to concentrate on the cricket – seeing as they’re getting paid for it.
Naseer Hussain does speak sense on Sky, he also doesn’t namby-pampby around on the mic.
