Black caps donned, or rather blue and white striped ones – the great man was never second choice………
This week represents the last chance to have that life changing lucky 15 on Richard Hills, and I’ll certainly be taking advantage.
Fans of the Richard will be congregating in a suitable hostelry to celebrate the Great Man’s achievements shortly. I’m currently in discussions with fellow Pasor Gamble to arrange a date and venue and will keep you all posted of developments.

From yon far country blows:
What are thoseBlue Remembered Hills
,
What spires, what farms are those? That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.http://www.jockeysroom.com/RichardHills350x467.jpg

The wind has blown my plaid awayMarch 26, 2012 at 10:23 #398446I have fond memories of winning a chunk at the 1992 Derby on Zaahi in the Diomed – set me up for a lovely summers day with the old man – nicely p**sed as they say! It was a ridiculously open Derby so it was nice to fill my boots early doors and enjoy the spectacle!
He had his critics, but rode horses according to his paymasters’ long term wishes for the animals. Can’t get fairer than that!
