Probably last day of posting for a while.<br>In summary, because of the stakes reqiured to bet each day it would only take one or maybe two bad days to eat up any profits gained over several days.<br>However I do feel that at least the system can narrow down the days races and possible selections to just a few runners who have a decent chance of winning.

Trying to obtain Even money or better about the 2 against the field is the name of the game, but having said that there are many ways to play the staking game.<br>Making one selection the main bet and a cover bet on the danger to either cover the main stake or make a small profit on the danger, it depends on the odds and the way you want to play the race.<br>As a system to narrow down the days racing I think it holds up well and leaves plenty of room for personal judgement.<br>I shall revamp what races are selected for the day to try and pin-point the stronger ratings which may leave less than 4 races on some days and possibly more than 4 on others.

Looking for the better races for the day, look for clear top rated (minimum 4pts) with at least 3pts in hand over the 3rd rated in the race.

Hi Factorman.<br>I follow your excellent topic with interest each day, and recently have been working the ratings out for myself before your posting.<br>My ratings agree with yours, so I must be doing that part right. But I always seem to have rated far more races than you. So I wondered if you would mind doing a recap on how you arrive at the races that you do.<br>The easy ratings are aptly named, and provide a good guide. I tend to follow the races where the top rated is at least three points clear of the second top.<br>Hope you can help. This is a very good thread. Keep up the good work.<br>Regards   Terry.

Until recently I was posting a maximum of 4 races based on earliest rated race, longest distance race and the next 2 highest prize money races but this was leaving out some strongly rated races.
To clarify the races selected for rating
Forecast favourite 8/11 to 100/30 <br>2nd and 3rd fav’s must be qouted at separate prices with the 3rd rated 1 1/2 points clear of the fourth in the betting, example Fav 8/11<br> 2nd 3/1<br> 3rd 9/2<br> 4th 6/1<br>I don’t rate Selling races, amateurs or N/H flat races.

Hi Andy.<br>Thanks for your speedy reply to my query. Some of the points I was not aware of, but all is now crystal clear.<br>I think this is a brilliant idea, and hope that the success continues. As I said earlier, I am following any top rated that is at least three points clear of the second top.
