Cousin Vinny going for World Hurdle if they can get an experienced jockey instead of Patrick Mullins who threw away the Supreme last year must have an excellent each way chance. The divison isn’t the strongest apart from Big Bucks.
That’s very harsh Patrick Mullin always had Cousin Vinny in the right place and when Go Native went clear he was immeditaly at a disadvatge. He like the others was in all out drive and Cousing Vinny who isn’t the greatest leper in the world, decided to dive left and kicked the top bar out. I’d say it cost him him a length or two but not the race. Hardly the jockey’s fault either the horse is simply a bad jumper.
To be frank your miles off the mark noone could have won on Cousin Vinny. Medermit was 4 lengths behind him at the top of the hill, reduced to a length behind him when hampered by him at the last. Medermit went round him and still finished 4 lenths in front of him so unless Cousing Vinny had a rocket shoved up his backside that failed to ignite he was winning nothing.
Place in the World Hurdle? Doubt if he’d get the trip, doubt if he’ll run and Tiday Bay, Karakak, Sentry Duty and Katchit aren’t exactly slow horses. On yesterday performance he should be 500/1 and to be honest I think he’s way too one paced to be running in any Grade 1.

Did Patrick not win the bumper (the roughest race of the festival) on him in 2008? The horse threw his chance away last year before the tapes even went up. He travelled over terribly and never settled in his new surroundings at all. He hasn’t looked the same animal that was running all over Pandorama in the Deloitte since.
