March 1, 2026 at 18:23 #17568672 of her grand dam’s progeny also died as 6 year olds due to injuries sustained in a race (not falls) so they choose a stallion that was retired after finishing last in the last of 4 races as a 2 year old (suggesting injury) for her daughter’s first foal. R.I.P. Don’t Call Me Sue. You never stood a chance.
March 1, 2026 at 18:49 #1756872I never really understood why horses that struggle regularly in novice hurdles after just four or five flights are still allowed to compete. Why? How can this be good for the sport.
It doesn’t happen in trotting for instance where horses have to qualify and run the full distance under a certain time limit. Why can’t this be applied to thoroughbreds? It would help the breeding industry a lot to be more selective right from the start. - AuthorPosts
