I’ve never seen this much sarcasm in a thread that hasn’t been graced by ‘Betlarge’ Mike yet!

I think it’s unfair to judge Winwise on their marketing material alone, this is a memo they sent to me this morning…

    Southwell 2.30

1st 9 Government (IRE) 11-2
2nd 4 Tipsy Lad 40-1
3rd 14 Spy Gun (USA) 20-1

    SF £225.09
Tricast £4188.87
Winning Trainer M C Chapman
Winning Jockey Nicol Polli
Distances 1l, 2l
Unpl. Fav Wodhill Schnaps 4-1 fav
Runners 14 ran

I tell you it’s uncanny, Winwise are so good it’s like they went 30 years into the future bought a sports almanac and returned, thanks to their flux capacitor, to make millionaires of us all.

Kenny, if your question is genuine you could feel a little hard done by, but most of us message board regulars have lost count of the number of times a new member signs up, and then with their first post asks if we have heard of such and such company.
I’ve had it a hundred times myself, a guy who seems new to most of the established internet forums always seems to know about a service the rest of us have never heard of.
If people seem suspicious, that’s the reason why.

You would have got similar treatment on any forum.

Ted, very civil of you to give our new member the benefit of the doubt but they’ve just bet 1.01 spam on Betfair. :)

    Hi kenny

are you spamming? I don’t thinks so, we all get those daft letters. 90%+ of tipsters are conmen, however is there such a thing as "good" information?

I am not sure how WinWise say how they operate but when I hear of a ‘losing bet refund guarantee’ then, quite often, they work in the following way.

A letter comes in the post telling you of their wondeful successes but because they are so successful they can’t get their bets on and so this is where you come in.

For a small percentage they ask you to put their bets on for them. If the bet wins then they’ll give you, say, 10% of the winnings and if the bet loses they’ll refund you.

So, you go and raid your savings account and place the bet. Now, what they will have done is to find a tight little handicap where there’s no clear cut obvious winner and if, say, there’s ten runners then they will send out to everyone one of ten sets of selections.

One of the horses will win and then a motorbike will turn up at the doorstep and take 90% of the winnings from the person who placed the bet.

Those which will have placed a losing bet will be waiting and waiting for a refund. It will never come. The phone number will be disconnected and the accomodation address will have been vacated.

Now, I have no idea if this lot run the same scheme. They could be even honest but when I see a ‘money back guarantee’ then I wouldn#t get involved. The maths simply doesn’t stack up.

At least tipster Mark Winstanley had a 50% strike rate yesterday with his Yes Sir winning at 1/14 mind you he did state a win bet on that one.
He does not worry about ew bets!
However for the private subscribers the day was not so good with Fitzroy Crossing unplaced at 4/5

Winwise are bad news BIG TIME!!
When i demanded my refund for a losing bet they said i could deduct it from next winnings. If that lost they would send me cheque for £200-00. Yeah right!!!!
When i kept ringing to demand my refund they got unpleasant and said they would remove me from their club. They then said that they hadn’t received my losing betting slip. They then got vey nasty and threatened me saying we have your address, we know where you live. "Dont ****
with me." Their actual words to me. They then rang my mobile and asked if my wife knew i bet. I said yes (which she does by the way) They then said well just watch out. (Don’t know what that means)
I have no3w finished with tipsters they are just a load of conmen shysters
