There seems to be a lot of talk about this, but I know a lot of punters don’t like to bet odds on so presumably the bookmakers will be able to run fairly balanced books. I can’t see it being a major issue.
A possible complication is each way betting where the place odds on the outsiders might be losers in the book. But again the layers usually have strategies to avoid big place liabilities.
Don’t know the statistics, but i know when i’m being patronised – and thats how i feel when all these bookied PR men in their sharp suits grin away explaining how they are potless because a few jollies have obliged.
We’ve even got Laddies bloke quoted today as saying if the 3 odds on shots win tomorrow Ladbrokes will wish they hadn’t returned to the Festival this year. Fair enough – bugger off then!
It may be tongue in cheek, but its all horse sh1t surely?
