Takes him a while to get in full flow but when he gets going, he gets going.
The more I know the less I understand.
October 14, 2023 at 14:44 #1666648There is apparently a fairly strong tail wind, Mike.
So times are going to be faster than usually is the case on this ground.
Prominent runners are likely to be favoured today.Value Is EverythingOctober 14, 2023 at 15:14 #1666663AOB quotes…
“We’ve never, ever had a horse like that.”
When asked if he was the best two-year-old he had trained, he responded: “He is absolutely.”Not heard that before ;o)
October 14, 2023 at 15:49 #1666670I love listening to AOB before a race, as he is always open and honest about his horses’ chances, but it’s always the same old marketing drivel afterwards. Yawn.
October 14, 2023 at 18:35 #1666681Would help is matt and Co didn’t ask him if his best ever 2 year old. Aidan gets carried away more with relief than anything else. He’s proved he handles soft which could be vital and the way he was finishing points to him being very hard to beat in the guineas. What does aidan do with Henry longfellow etc. Great quandary to have. Beautiful mover with a very intelligent head. Obviously loves racing which is never a bad thing. Reminds a bit of see the stars.
October 14, 2023 at 21:37 #1666704Just saw a post-race interview on Twitter.
I can forgive Aidan O’Brien for donning his Coolmore marketing cap yet again, but “VERY unique?”
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear!

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"October 15, 2023 at 00:01 #1666719I hate it when he’s interviewed during the summer months and doesn’t remove his sunglasses. Most uncouth.
October 15, 2023 at 00:17 #1666723City Of Troy was amazing…poetry in motion, he just glided home.
The ground was not kicking up and had drained very well compared to York races.
Just for the record Ginger there was no strong tailwind it was a very light breeze for most of the day.
Brilliant days racing and lots of clues to next year’s Classics.
