It’s who handles the ground best. Anybody’s guess. St marks basilica for me as he’s improving with every run.
October 9, 2020 at 21:16 #1505522I thought it was interesting what Jack said about Hannon’s record in the 2000 Guineas but I would add as a caveat that King Of Change, Barney Roy and Night Of Thunder were all horses who didn’t appear until late on in their 2 year old seasons – late September for Barney Roy, October for Night Of Thunder and very late October for King Of Change, none of them were competing in the big 2 year old group races.
I have no strong opinion on the race but I really don’t like Chindit for this tomorrow, its mainly to do with the way he’s been ridden the last two times I just don’t like hold up horses on the straight track at Newmarket its near impossible to make up ground. I think the fact we have a monster field tomorrow tells you all you need to know, nobody is running scared of anyone in that field whereas normally we’ll be lucky to get 8 or 9 in a Dewhurst.
October 9, 2020 at 22:47 #1505531I have backed Chinidt for the 2000. I will watch the race and if it doesn’t go my way I will cash that bet out for the 2000. If an horse wins easily then he will go short for the 2000. This year it is hard to work out these 2yr olds. With the late start to the season the up and down going. We had a at best a listed runner win a Group today because of the sticky going. AS Dettori said, this season has been sh*t.
October 9, 2020 at 22:49 #1505533Tinman what we have seen today with the sticky going you need to be up there within the front runners, the hold up didn’t do well today.
October 9, 2020 at 23:28 #1505539Lovely drift on SMB at the moment out to 22/1 I’ve topped up on that. Massive price unless he’s lost a leg or something.
October 10, 2020 at 09:49 #1505569Why is Jim Bolger running a once raced maiden winner not seen since March in the Dewhurst?
Is that a tip?October 10, 2020 at 09:54 #1505570Maybe, must rate him and wants to see how he gets on
Jim once started Glor Na Mara off in a group 3 and it took that horse 10 years to win a race..
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
October 10, 2020 at 10:00 #1505572Hannon will say that they are still both Guineas winners after today, they just didn’t handle the going..

Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
October 10, 2020 at 10:05 #1505573He’s well drawn in 14 on won his maiden on soft/heavy. Who knows with JB these days but I might chuck a few quid on actually with 4 places
Poetic Flare 28/1 EW
October 10, 2020 at 11:53 #1505583I wouldn’t be taking that as a tip from Bolger at all- he’s a very unorthodox trainer in the way he campaigns his horses. He had two or three maidens running in graded races this season without winning races.
Might win though

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!October 10, 2020 at 13:07 #1505599His horses will handle the going but maybe not the course Hannon says.
October 10, 2020 at 15:04 #1505616Thought Wembley was going to do it for you Vtc
looked very messing down the rail side, will have to watch it againHis horses will handle the going but maybe not the course Hannon says.
So he doesn’t think his Guineas horses will handle the track in which the guineas is run on…

October 10, 2020 at 15:06 #1505618Thunder Moon did well enough on that ground.
October 10, 2020 at 15:08 #1505619WD Frenchy and Mickeyjp, he’s a strong looking beast
October 10, 2020 at 15:11 #1505620Wd winners
October 10, 2020 at 17:52 #1505651THe ground a big factor but the first two have certainly come on since the curragh. I wouldn’t write off thunder moon though. I’d say the winner will stay 10f but Wembley looks a miler to me. Ryan is going to have some headache picking his horse for the 2000 Guineas. Aiden said high definition was possibly going there and he has battleground which many experts think is his best 2yo. Nice problem to have.
October 10, 2020 at 21:47 #1505673Watching the race back i feel the best horse came second
Not Ryans finest ride
Held up last when over both days nothing has really got close from the rear
And on the worst part of the track too as far away from the rail as he couldve been
Id be marking up Wembleys performance
