yes, very good performance. even if i am from germany, i did not think, that he would be good enough. lots of courage.
December 27, 2008 at 20:40 #199584Well done anglo-german! Really nice horse, and a flawless gutsy display after his fall at the first last time. Not an excuse but Twist Magic got some boot in the face from Ashley brook early on there.

Maybe but he didn’t want to know even before the tapes went up. He’s the type that will go in at a big price when the entire racing world has given up on him.
December 27, 2008 at 20:42 #199587For all of us that backed him today we all owe it to Darren for bringing our attention to this horse.
Cracking ride from Jamie and many many congratulations to Christian and Darren.

Like I say it wasnt an excuse, the horse looked nothing but trouble there, and he probably wont have things as much in his favour as he did today, wont be on him for some time now.
December 27, 2008 at 21:13 #199596Well done Darren, just wish I’d made him the main bet. Did have a little more on when a pace bias seemed to manifest itself during the afternoon.
What a battler!
Terrific stuff.

Value Is EverythingDecember 28, 2008 at 00:13 #199648Well done Darren, even my 3 year old son joined in shouting "go on Fiepes" at the end.
December 28, 2008 at 00:34 #199655Well done Darren, he ran a very good race and battled back towards the finish really well, he jumped very well this afternoon didnt he.

He just glided over some of those fences didnt he? Superb to watch
December 28, 2008 at 02:45 #199682Excellent ride excellent tactics. Im beginning to wonder about Kempton. Time after time they talk about how easy a track it is time after time they finish strung out like washing. No matter!!!
The obvious plan was to ensure the gallop was a strong as possible and try and outstay Twist Magic who has shown in the past doesn’t get 2 miles in a true run race.
Granted Twist Magic never ran any sort of race but I’m sure the connections of FS don’t give a hoot.
Great to see him picking up a decent prize after several efforts.
December 28, 2008 at 03:22 #199688Really great for Flipper. He jumped and battled brilliantly.
Must be so thrilling to be connected with him.
Hopefully, the race may be uploaded to Youtube.

December 28, 2008 at 03:41 #199700Delighted for Darren, connections and the horse – a very game display.
I also look forward to the official handicapper rating the race through Twist Magic, and putting Fieppes Shuffle on a revised mark of 197 (the erse).
December 28, 2008 at 20:35 #199870I’ve been away but ran into the hotel where we were staying yesterday afternoon shouting ‘quick somebody put ceefax on, I need to get a racing result!’..couldn’t believe it when it came up…so chuffed for everybody; good old Flipper…..
