    Poor beast, managed to get over the fence anyway, having broken a back leg a few strides before. Such courage.

    Jockey did his best to pull him up before the fence, but couldn’t quite manage to stop before he reached the fence. Brave horse to try and jump it, even on 3 legs. RIP, Denier.

    What a horrible story. Such bravery brings a lump to the throat.

    I did feel sorry for the jockey too, who must be reliving those few moments I should think. He was obviously trying to pull up but the horse was just too unbalanced to do anything but carry on. I am amazed he stayed on his feet.
