Cheers Raymo, I would have settles for that outcome at the start of the day, it
was just my expectations went up the richter scale when he was in contention for
the lead. I was gutted but I’m fine now. Well done with Lewis :good:

Darren, WTF is Rahm doing !!!! 4 over after 5 holes. I didn’t see that coming although
I see he has just birdied the 6th but he’s got enough holes to turn this round as he’s
only 3 back. Not the best strat for Palmer either Raymo, but he’s pulled one back and
only 2 off the lead. Ouch…..make that 3 off as Leishman is playing out of his skin
with 5 birdies in the 1st 8 holes. I’m still in with a shout with Reed too, he’s also
3 back and he would make up a bit for Bevuidenhout earlier today if he were to get his
    nose in front.

Still over a couple of hours to go and we are all very much in with a chance. Good luck
    guys :good:

Looks like Leishman is home and hosed, he’s 1/16. Just for the hell of it, and in case there
is a collapse that would rival Grieg Norman, I’ve taken some 66/1 with William Hill for Rahm.
He’s the only one that got enough holes to make any inroads. Probably stone mad, but you never
    know

This is getting a bit weird. Five minutes ago I was laughing at myself for being an
eternal optomist, when Leishman was 1/100…..and now he’s 1/6 and Rahm 9/2. It’s been
a strange last round. Stay tuned ……………….

Damn it Darren, Leishman just birdied the last, if he hadn’t I’d have fancied Rahm to
catch him with a birdie. He needs an eagle now, a slight glimmer of hope, but just a slight one

That was bad luck Darren, Rahm got off to the worst start possible, and in the end nearly
pulled it off. He did well to get back into it but he gave himself too much to do. His birdie
at the last wasn’t enough to force the play-off, but I suppose you’ve got to hand it to
Leishman, a 65 was the tied best round of the day. We hit the crossbar a few times today,
but we live to fight another day :good:

    Saudi international

    DUSTIN JOHNSON 15/2 Win

Here we got a elite player in field and can take care of this field with doubts over Koepka and final day in windy Dubai desert for other players near top of market not ideal way come here.DJ won here last year do the same again proven can win at courses multiple times Pebble beach and WGC Mexico event.Do same here.

    GAVIN GREEN 100/1

Early 3figures prices long gone and good reason he was 11th here when not in best of form but done ok this year way he played in South Africa when 15th this powerful youngster can make impact here.

    RENATAO PARATORE 125/1

Another power packed youngster who did ok here last year when 18th and if not for a 2nd round 74 would been much higher still not added to collection one title so far.Was early leader in Abu dhabi but 2nd and 3rd rounds not good but bounce on final day.And can go well.

    Phoniex open

    WEBB SIMPSON 14/1

Last year Fowler won this event though madness did in final round still no idea how he did it but go back a few years earlier here he lost a playoff to Matsuyama which he was in tears afterwards. My main tip also lost to same player a year later Simpson lost to Mats a year later since his players romp in 2018 not added a win since but has been close in RSM Classic and Sony open where was 3rd but should at least made playoff there.A long overdue title can be in his hands sunday night.

    SUNGJAE IM 33/1

Asian players have a fine record here mainly down to Matsuyama but next 2bets got form here to.IM played well in Presidents cup but not shown that form since might be now he comes to a course that suits him well. Was 7th on debut.12 months on much better player while still a maiden on this tour that could change on sunday.

    BYEOUNG HUN AN 80/1

On his debut here was 54 hole leader a fine effort that was but unable to win it but it showed that he comfy here. And has stacks of top class form in desert in European tour.Like IM was a star at Presidents cup while still a maiden has had issues on sundays but can surprise folk here.

    DANIEL BERGER 80/1

This a event he loves been 10th and 7th here before and always feel here that he will win this trophy one day.
Since back from injury has shown decent form was 17th in Zozo championship while 29th in American express did have 4 scores in 60s and feel have another fine showing again.

BigG and Raymo good luck this week with bets

And also guys this event been good to us I had Matsuyama both times won here those playoffs with Simpson and Fowler hard to watch. While Raymo on Fowler last year which has I said before still not know how he won it on sunday.Hope these events give us good luck this week.

Federer is through to the semi finals.
He had a gruelling match and saved seven match points.
He needed treatment and has two days to recover before likely facing old rival Novak in the semi-finals.
Novak is currently two sets up and a game down in the third in his q/f.
He is my choice to face Nadal in the final.
Ash Barty is going great guns and on a collision course with Halep.
A first Aussie finalist since 1980 hopefully and maybe a fist winner since Goolagong.
The kiss of death from Sporting sam!

    Saudi International

Patrick Reed 16/1 (boosted from 14s PP) (28/1 1st round leader market)

A top player and Masters winner who makes the trip over to the European Tour rather than
take his place in the Phoenix open. Hopefully he fancies his chance here, and going into
this on the back of T6 last week in the Farmers and T2 earlier in the month in the Sentry
there’s nothing wrong with his game. He did chose this over the Phoenix last year and didn’t
really get into contention in 56th, but despite being a regular attender at the Phoenix and
doing well enough last time at T17, he must think he can better last year’s attempt. I think
    he can too.

Tom Lewis 30/1 (40/1 1st round leader market)

He probably is smarting a bit having finished T3 last week at the Dubai Desert Classic when
he must have thought he had a real chance. A disappointing 74 ruined his chances. He has the
chance to bounce back this week on a course that he knows well and likes a lot. He played
superbly last year, finishing 62,65 for 3rd place. This would be a good way of getting over
last week and I think he will be up with the leaders from the start. I think the 40/1 1st
round 6 places with Paddy Power is definitely worth a shot.

Thomas Detry 50/1 (50/1 1st round leader market)

He’s taken a bit of time to warm up after his month off over Christmas/New Year. T28 is
the best he could muster in his 3 tournaments since starting back. He was in decent
form before the break, 3 top 10s in his last 5 matches, and I think he can go well here
    at a very decent price.

Joost Luiten 60/1 (55/1 1st round leader market)

I have to say this is a bit of a gut selection, and on his last round of 79 in the Dubai
Desert Classic last week he would be hard to justify selection. He is a bit of a streaky
player though and he did well this time last year with 3 top 10s in 4 tournaments after
his break, including T6 here. I think he’s a bit of value at the price, but I’m depending
on him bouncing back to form on a course he has played well at before.

I’ll get my bets on for the Phoenix later.

I don’t want to go on about Bevuidenhout last week (too much) but one thing that sticks in my
throat is that I do, as you guys know, consider either an insurance bet or a cash out depending
on the circumstances. By the time it was obvious Herbert was the main danger he was too short a
price for me for an insurance bet. I would however have considered a cash out if William Hill
had offered it. For whatever reason, maybe a glitch, none of my bets were showing cash out when
they normally would. I even considered getting in touch by chat but it takes a while. When Herbert
hit it into the water on the 1st play-off hole I reckon Bevuidenhout would have been something like
1/6 at best at that time. I reckon they would have been offering virtually all the bet to save a
bit of cash, certainly over 3 grand with a potential £3630 payout. I would have taken that as I’ve
seen enough to know that strange things happen in golf. No point in me contacing them asking why
their cash out had disappeared, I know I’d get the standard reply that they don’t offer cash out
always. I do keep an eye on cash out, and I can’t think of a time when the cash out price didn’t
fluctuate right through a final round, or as in the football as I also like an occassional punt
on the correct score market. Last night’s Arsenal game was a point in question. I had 30 quid on
Arsenal to win 2-0. I was keeping an eye on the cash out and when they went into injury time I was
only losing about 20 quid to take the cash out. I cashed out, and within a minute it was 2-1.
    Serves then right B-) …………

    Phoenix Open

Running late but I managed to get my bets on before the off so I’ll be brief

Hideki Matsuyama 16/1 (30/1 1st round leader market)

He’s the perfect horses for courses type. He won this in 2016 and 2017 and
he’s been 2nd and 4th. I think he will go well.

Sunjae Im 33/1 (45/1 1st round leader market)

He’s been consistantly there or there abouts for some time now with 3 top
20s in his last 5, including 2 top 10s. Last year was his first try in this
tournament and he did well finishing T7. Every chance here.

Cameron Smith 55/1 (60/1 1st round leader market)

Time to pull my hair out again with Cameron. He has all the talent to win anywhere,
and did me a turn in the Sony open earlier this month. He didn’t really get into it
last time out at the Farmers, but I think he will do well here.

Good luck this week guys :good:

I was thinking just that Darren, but Green was 66/1 for the 1st round mate
An finished a few short for 1st round leader at the Phoenix, but an old pal
of yours, Wyndham Clark hit an unbelievable 61. Pity he wasn’t in your stable
this week. I’m reasonably pleased with Sungjae at 5 under and Matsuyama at 4
under. Still plenty of time for them, although my pal Cameron Smith had on his
My Hyde head on today at 5 over par. You never know what you’re going to get
with him…….until it’s too late
