Do a look at horses to follow later in week but start off bets in Ireland today.

    MIZAAH 5/1 3.10 NAAS

A lightly raced horse and intresting he staying in traning and being trained by Kevin Prendergast who starts the season well.He returns to 6f last race at 7f.And think he can win today.

    STEONGRAPHER 10/1 4.40

Winner at 6f 12 months ago and Jim Bolger a trainer to watch early in season and with this horse a winner this time of year 1st time up may be best to catch him and win the irish lincoln.

    INCA GOLD 7/2 5.10

While Aidan’O Brein not start year well has had winner on this day in the past can win maiden at end of the day. This horse got beat by a 50/1 shot but that horse showed how good he could by giving 2000 guines fave Churchill a fright next time.Back to this horse has nice entries and one horse who had eye on since that debut.

My horses to follow now and a look at the classics start with 2000 guineas

As you see elsewhere at big races forum got CHURCHILL at 16/1 for 2000 guineas and do not see anything beating him so have no other bet in race.

For 1000 guineas.Got RHODODENDRON at 20/1 and DABYAH 33/1 if there is cut in the ground i can see Gosden filly going well but if ground is fast the o’Brein filly should be too good for them.

    In the Oaks

    CORONET at 33/1

Way she won maiden was very good and while she won Zetland at Newmarket that race not the normal route for a Oaks winner she had to have another run and only race Gosden able to get in for her. While being related to Midas Touch quite a bit of stamina she got some say might be quick enough i think she will and look like Musidora where she start off.

    ASTRONOMY’S CHOICE 33/1

If had a darkhorse it be this filly from the Gosden yard. She won well at 7f at Newmarket she finish the race very strongly and she looks like being a decent middle distance prospect for 2017

Look at derby.Got CAPRI at 50/1 only worry i got with him is he too exposed now to win a derby normally horses have a light season at 2 before going to win Epsom classic.

    CRACKSMAN 33/1

The darkhorse for the derby be this one from Gosden he a Frankel who won 1st time up at Newmarket whhere he beat horses who already had a run and while he in derby at the moment there be no shock from me if he lines up at Newmarket on Craven meeting where Golden Horn. After that if he wins then run in the Dante he is every inch a middle distance star in 2017.

Darkhorses to follow coming up these horses either maidens or maiden winners

    CLIFFS OF MOHER

Romped home in 7fmaiden in back end of the season show a quite a bit of speed while he been nibbled at derby i think a lack of stamina cost him.And a strongly run 1m will be perfect for him this year. When you think Churchill go up in trip after Newmarket.Carravaggio more of a sprinter.Lancaster Bomber and War Decree both by War front and normally not train on at 3.He could be the horse who go for all the top 1m races this year.

    CRYSTAL OCEAN

Was 2nd at Newbury on only start at 2 and this horse trained by Stoute they not normally tuned up on debut and he looks a type who should be going for 1m2 races this year he might even stay 1m4

    SPORTING TIMES

Only one race last year got beat by a Stoute horse who had a run. This is a stamina laden horse so fact at 7f was 2nd a good run by him.Trained by Ed Dunlop no doubt there be looking at 1m maiden this year but think when he go over longer trips at 1m6 and even 2m where he come into his own.

    GOD GIVEN

Was 3rd twice last season but this daughter of Nathniel is expected to come into her own now she be tackling longer trips in both her starts she finish her races well so from the Luca Cumani yard races at 1m4 will see her in her best light.

Good luck Darren, you have some nice bets there. Churchill looks the pick and it’s hard to see anything coming from the shadows at this stage.

Cliffs Of Moher was impressive on his second start last year, coming on a ton from his debut just two weeks earlier.

The runner up in that maiden, Orderofthegarter, dismantled his field at Naas yesterday, winning by an incredible 11 lengths. His stablemate Inca Gold was narrow favourite yesterday but he (previously runner up to Alexios Komnenos) cut not ice way back in 7th, more than 20 lengths behind 2nd Fav Orderofthegarter.

That was encouraging for Cliffs Of Moher’s form but I have held back on the colt because of rumblings that they will take him to the French Guineas.

Best of luck this season Darren, hope you land some of those Classics, Churchill looks solid :good:

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

Good luck Darren :good: Look forward to seeing you on the 2yo thread again this year, so glad the flat is back.

I thought Inca Gold looked a good thing in Ireland yesterday but not to be. Still early days yet and time for him to prove himself and you to recoup your losses…Jac :rose:

This was Astronomy’s Choice winning at Newmarket Darren.

She’s quite a well made filly with scope and you get the feeling that she would have won further had the race been a mile.

I doubt it was a great maiden. The second and third haven’t run since but the favourite on the day, Hugo Palmer’s filly who finished 4th, went off warm favourite for a Kempton maiden in early November and was pretty disappointing.

The Racing Post shows Astronomy’s Choice entered in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket and the Irish Oaks. I am not sure if they have missed other entries.

Watching her over 7F on quite fast ground at Newmarket, I couldn’t be sure she will stay a mile and a half. I can’t say she shaped like a definite stayer in her style, despite finishing the race well.

Clearly a filly open to ample improvement and she is 40/1 for the 1000 Guineas, which, on balance, is probably what I would back her for due to no questions about trip and track at Epsom. That’s my thinking on it anyway and she is interesting.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

    Bets for AW championship

    CONVEY 13/8 Win Easter classic

Trip was thought to be the problem but he stayed well last time to win that was AW debut took to it well this not a strong race.Think he go off shorter than he is

PINZOLO 8/1 To win Stayers championship

Over a much shorter trip at 1m2 gave Convey a fright and he can frank that form with a win today.Return to longer be no problem though he not won at 2m i think trip not be a problem.

LANCEALOT DU LAC 4/1 Win Sprinters championship

This one of my fave AW horses won at Kempton and Lingfield. And last run was a impressive win by him. With Kimbrella in race go a decent pace come past them in final furlong.

    Only one flat bet today

    ENDLESS ACRES 5/2 5.25 Kempton

Won very well at CD last time out so the trip and AW no concern for him also got a entry for Chester cup while Higher Power is good horse on AW trying to give my horse a stack of weight be to much for him.

    VIBRANT CHORDS 7/2 5.05 Newmarket

Did not win last year but it can be hard for 3yo sprinters did run some good races with Henry Candy being a master of trainging sprinters think more to come from this year start off with a win here.
