I don’t expect many will have seen Dark Note’s performance in the 6:40 at Sligo this evening however he looked to be travelling almost embarrassingly easily until, for the fourth time in his four races, he weakened in the final furlong; I find this particularly perplexing as his four races have been over disparate distances: 9f, 8f, 13f and 10.5f.
Do some racehorses just not like being off the bridle?
I shall keep backing him because I can’t help feeling that he will win a race sooner or later; the good news today for his followers is that he wasn’t placed and shouldn’t go up in the weights.

If it’s the latter, keep backing him but make sure you get early prices because he’ll probably be punted when they actually try with him.

The only thing I would say is he was forced to challenge wide, which is not the place to be at Sligo.
