Who else is enjoying the early starts and 8 plus races at the meetings.
Personally I think it’s great.
There are less meetings which I prefer and early starts.
I wish we could keep it like this but I know it will, all being well go back to the old ways.June 28, 2020 at 21:45 #1492113Group races coming thick and fast
I’m loving it tbh
Only problem is ante post punting is a nightmare as with the schedule all over the show figuring what will run where is much harder

but I am missing my days at Newmarket seeing the horses in the flesh and getting a few notebook ideas.
Next Saturday we have The Derby and The Oaks run on the same day can’t wait and the coverage is excellent don’t miss the crowds at all.I was wondering with the running of the July Cup in about 3 weeks whether Newmarket will open up the July Course or remain and run it on the Rowley Mile course where they have all distancing measures already set up? With the usual switch to the July Course about due I think they have already elected to continue racing on the Rowley Mile course unless anyone knows different? Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...June 29, 2020 at 00:01 #1492119I thought Richard Hoilles said today on ITV that they would be using the July course, though I may have misheard.
Agree that the current programme is great. What a weekend coming up!!
June 29, 2020 at 00:32 #1492120I didn’t see that today Tonge thank you.
It would make sense to run it on the July course and of course it will be in great condition barring any heavy rainfall which we have had at July Course meetings, remember once they had to put straw down to walk on over the mud laden grass..first time I had worn my wellies to the July meeting.
