Going to have a fair bet on Albaflora in this tomorrow. Around 11/1 with most firms. 2nd at Ascot franked the form at York the other day, and I’d be perfectly willing to swerve Aidan’s duo. Al Aasy too short after winning a boat race at Newbury.
June 3, 2021 at 17:58 #1543260I think this Al Aasy might well be an absolute machine. Will be watching this with great interest but no financial interest.

June 3, 2021 at 18:14 #1543262Al aasy is far too short on first look
But Japan and mogul are yaks that cant be trusted
And pyledriver is a fruitcake
Very much a no bet race for me
June 4, 2021 at 08:06 #1543374I chanced Highland Chief at 40/1 3 places when Skybet was the only firm
going 3 places a few days back (in ante post thread). There’s not much between him
and Mogul on their 3 races, beaten 3/4L after they bumped in the Gordon Stakes, 1/2L
ahead of him in the Great Voltegeur and in the Grand Prix De Paris, which Mogul won,
Peslier had him way out the back turning for home and he finished best of all running
into 6th. Highland Avenue is 50/1 whilst Mogul is 11/2. I think his chances are better
than the odds suggest. I’ll be happy if he runs into 3rd.Highland Chief 40/1 3 places
June 4, 2021 at 15:04 #1543491Al Aasy out to 7/4. Thats too big, think he will absolutely hack up against these nutcases.

June 4, 2021 at 15:15 #1543498I’m a sucker for these stong travelling bridle horses. I’ll never learn. Well done to Pyledriver, backers, and connections.

June 4, 2021 at 15:17 #1543499Al Aasy a bit unfortunate there as he’s hung in.
June 4, 2021 at 15:20 #1543500Think he is a flat version of Harchibald Mike. He is very good, but however quick he is doing on the bit, is as quick as he will go. I’d imagine Jimbo will be trying to wait until the last half furlong next time.
Good performance by the front two. The Coolmore pair are squiggle horses.

He’s got so much ability but very quirkyGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
June 4, 2021 at 15:24 #1543504Indeed. I was ready to criticise Dwyer for that big move turning in tbh. He’s made me look a mug, fair play to him and the horse. Fully deserved Group 1 win.

June 4, 2021 at 15:25 #1543505Crowley stopped riding to straighten the horse which wouldn’t have happened on a conventional course TTC. He’d win a neck/half a length and job done.
June 4, 2021 at 15:25 #1543506Looked to me that Pyledriver really relished the scrap. As Al-Aasy came alongside he gave him the eyeball as if to say “Come on what you got?”.
Both deserve credit in a cracking contest between two genuine Group 1 performers.
June 4, 2021 at 15:33 #1543511Good scrap there and Pyledriver kept on nicely to claw it back at the end.
June 4, 2021 at 15:35 #1543513Its very possible those two are as good as it gets over 12f this season. As others have said, great finish with the two pulling nicely clear.

June 4, 2021 at 15:39 #1543515Tarnawa wouldve won that on the snaff id say TTC
June 4, 2021 at 15:40 #1543516I severely doubt that. Looking forward to finding out though FF.
