Agree Ian. Just remember Jodami, The Fellow and One Man being targeted at this race.
And yes, for one second I was thinking Cheltenham in March.

It’s a competitive looking handicap. As it should be. :o)

Fiddlerontheroof at 10s is a fair price , he was miles clear last year with the winner and he had the perfect prep last time at 2 5 , I still think he can go close in a GN

I think this is one of those races where you look at it, you scroll down the list and actually the fav just sticks out like a sore thumb.

He’s going to prove a lot better than handicapping in time I think? I think Lucinda said so after he won the Ultima.

I really like the progressive look of Lord Accord but if he was going to take a hand in this he really should of been capable of beating Frodon getting about 74 stone in weight in the badger beers the other week.

So it’s a strong bet on Corach Rambler for me.

Cider do you not worry he’ll get to far behind ? , he couldn’t get away with that in a Hennessey …sorry it the Hennessy don’t care who sponsors it

    “:o)” & “Get in!” – One Man’s carbon footprint.

For the Hennessy, I personally always look for a horse who could finish in the first six over 1m2f in the Angers mud as a 2yo.

I’m disappointed that Dusart isn’t going, so in his absence I’ll have a bigger bet for me on Corach Rambler to make up for Dusart not running

I’d be more concerned about the track than his way of running HDLG. Not sure Newbury is likely to be his bag. But his form just leaps off the page in my opinion.

He’s given a half dozen of them a good pasting previously and the other half dozen can’t hold a candle to him.

7lb higher mark than when winning at the Cheltenham Festival, and latest Carlisle form isn’t working out too well so far.

I recommend the related-contingency double with Beauport in the earlier Novices’ Chase.

If that wins, you’re in business.

Carlisle was to short for him so that doesn’t concern me , I just think he,s short of a gear for this

Yeah I should have stipulated his form from last season. He was pretty quickly put to the sword then stayed on again at Carlisle and that was a bloody good race with some very progressive horses in it.

The forecast good ground is going to be a leveller i think so the 7lb rise and first season run over shorter may not matter. The 2 Pipe horses ideally want softer conditions. Same could be said about the Skelton horse. Corach Rambler’s last 3 wins have been on G, GS, GS. So my pin landed on him.

My good pal Busselton seems a certainty to run here. Got to take the 10/1.

I’m still hoping that Our Power runs here, and Corach Rambler will be my second selection if he lines up.

Should either of them not make it, then I’ll be betting Fiddlerontheroof
