Snowfall – Irish Oaks next target. That makes sense.
Love – 12f race possibly next after Ascot. That makes sense.
Palace Pier – this was never the next target.
Lady Bowthorpe – ran at Ascot and lost. Not even sure this was on their minds.
Al Aasy – King George next. 12f makes more sense.
Pyledriver – King George next. 12f makes more sense.
Derab – probably not good enough.
Mother Earth – Been busy over a mile. Deserves a little break.
Snow Lantern – unlikely the Eclipse was the next target after Ascot, would find it tough anyway.

Agree TTC. I do not buy the argument the race is too soon after Royal Ascot and too close to the King George. Far too many trainers just wrap their horses up in cotton wool.

I know horses are not all the same but look at what Bolger has done with Poetic Flare. Four races in about six weeks – and his fourth run was the best of the lot.

Most horses can stand racing. It is over-cautious trainers choosing not to run them and trainers playing it safe. Why not pitch a top class handicapper or a solid Listed/Group 3 horse like Euchen Glen in here? What do they have to lose?

I saw Clive Brittain interviewed on RTV last week. He could teach a few of these trainers how to train and about a bit of ambition!

I’m going to cheer on El Drama. Connections weren’t afraid to keep knocking on the G1 door with Defoe- he won one at his 6th attempt- and have done so with other horses as well.

Part of the problem is no Magical or Enable this year; and people are frightened of getting colts beaten.

    Ok Mike.

SMM has had a hard campaign in France. Pull him out.
Adeyyb needs it softer. Pull him out.
El Drama – Not good enough. Pull him out.
Mishriff – Needs better ground. Pull him out.

All understandable. Lets just skip the Eclipse altogether.

There are a fair few ‘big races’ in the calendar and some races will suffer as a result.

Mishriff goes on all types of ground btw.

I’m a bit sick of you ‘going with the flow’ and especially claiming impossible AP prices to be honest Mike, BTW. I have little respect for what you have to say.

Don’t know what you mean by your last post TTC. I’ve never knowingly lied on any sports forum I’ve been on. You will have to expand on it and i’ll answer.

Mike, I think he’s talking about the fact that you repeatedly put up prices that are long gone. I’ve pulled you up for it several times, as have many others.

When challenged your stock reply is ‘I just got lucky’

Have you forgotten all of the times that you’ve been challenged on it?

Ive noticed you claiming inflated prices a few times Mike and couldnt be arsed to debate it. I still cant, but I am very confident in my position. Good luck to you.

Well, one thing for sure Ryan won’t be beaten by a stable companion, and then again thinking about it the derby the only representative got beat, I wonder.

Kris when a race takes place and a horse wins then usually odds of future races its declared in starts shortening. The longer you leave it the shorter it gets during a period of time. If people dont want to believe the price i got that’s up to them. I wouldnt see the point of putting up a bigger price than i got on a forum. The ‘i got lucky’ comment was Snowfall 10-1 as i recall when i was asked where that price was and i said its changed and i got in quick. I got 10-1 and that is it as far as that horse is concerned.

I’m well aware that odds shorten for a future race after a win, as is everyone else.

You don’t seriously think that it’s just Snowfall we’re talking about. You’ve been pulled up loads for it over the last few years, and you always come up with that I got in quick or I got lucky line. You do it with almost every horse you put up. I nearly fainted when you put up Starmam recently. It was still available at the price you put up.

You’ve got three horses up already on The Arc thread, and all three you put up at odds that were bigger than the best prices available, and in the case of 2 of them, you put them up miles bigger than they were. How often can one man get lucky?

You just pick whatever odds you see were available via Oddschecker don’t you?

To confirm i have Snowfall at 10s, Wonderful Tonight 16s, and Philomene 35-1 at this stage for the Arc. My conscience is clear.

A lot of ‘Mike jealousy’ on here. Nobody gets on at the prices quite like Magic Mike. Haters gonna hate.

SMB won well and is a very likeable horse. Just wish a few pundits would keep their feet on the ground. That Tom Stanley character on RTV said SMB was “electrifyingly impressive”.
