There have been more than a few of them. Andy Turnell, Martin Blackshaw, Philip Hide, Norman Williamson are only a few.
These jockey’s all had great hands and all had one thing in common:-
They could all make you.me and even the horse think he was going better than he actually was…….so many times you were counting your money going to the last only to find when they popped the question the horse found nothing.
Of course 80% of the time they were going as well as you thought and they hacked up.
Who in your opinion was the best Mr Motionless
For me it was Declan Murphy who could put a horse to sleep for 90% of a race and he wouldn’t blow a candle out after.
