I have now come to the conclusion that I need to set my "weightings" not only to each course but also to the days going and the race type. This is going to involve adding 3 race types and umpteen going conditions to 82 courses and may take a while. Progress will be reflected on the forecast cards posted here.
At the moment I can’t even think of "weighting" according to race class or distance!

No changes to "weightings" yet but forecast cards changed to show past predictions according to going.NEWMARKET_22-07.jpg[/attachment:2qwow06l]YORK_22-07.jpg[/attachment:2qwow06l]

Well bombed at Bangor yesterday but had some nice odds placed at Musselburgh.

Update to forecast cards showing goings now completed except for A/W courses.

Thanks to yorkiedips suggestion regarding quadpots. Up to now I have been selecting which 2 forecasts to post at random, from today the 2 cards with the best quadpot chances will be posted.HAMILTON_30-07.jpg[/attachment:1h1t98ds]THIRSK_30-07.jpg[/attachment:1h1t98ds]

Major cockup here. Whilst adding the option to use different variables for different goings I managed to mess up my variable chart resulting in at least 19 courses each having 36 variables set wrong. Also discovered the code I used when changing the variables en-masse was incorrect. Basically I was using one of three sets of variables and I do not know which set I was using for 19 courses so I have to double check all my code – re-run forecasts to determine what was being used. I am off on holiday tomorrow so wont be posting for a couple of weeks.

To give an idea of the severity of the situation my variables file has over 10,000 rows with 50 colums per row. Fortunately I have a copy of the old file so I may be able to recover from my error relatively easy although I need to come up with a new way of changing the variables as the existing method is obviously flawed.

As a side point – using only horses selected by my program over the past 6 weeks I have had a good return on investment.

Back soon

Right, getting things sorted out slowly but surely.HAYDOCK_04-08.jpg[/attachment:3c8g8jhr]YARMOUTH_04-08.jpg[/attachment:3c8g8jhr]

Sadly due to certain web sites being blocked in the pulic library in Westport, Ireland there may be some non-runners in todays postings.
