Went with Transmission here. Likeable enough type, who wouldn’t have a chance most years in this, however I think he can be competitive and maybe sneak a place in this renewal, if they decide to chance him.
Can’t see anything else I’ll back if he doesn’t run, so might as well take the 25’s just now. The other one I did look at was Buddy One, but I’ll stick with Transmission
Edit – Added 33’s, to go with that shrewd 25’s Antepost
Transmission 25’s EW/33’s
January 21, 2025 at 00:48 #1718520I was looking at this today and I was drawn to Kerryhill, rather on the unexposed list. He has two entries at present, here and the Stayers Hurdle in March. That to me says they think a lot of him, its not a stable that shoots for the stars unless they think hes a nice horse. As for a bet, I can wait until after the final Decs stage.
January 21, 2025 at 01:20 #1718522Having seen 25s decided to back Kerryhill E/W.
January 21, 2025 at 07:04 #1718527Botox Has is a serious fancy fur me in this. I’ve taken 20-1 ew
January 24, 2025 at 20:38 #1718763Well done getting the 25-1 Landafar, and I’ve joined you on Kerryhill at 22-1
January 24, 2025 at 20:46 #1718767Ga Law 8s, for me
January 24, 2025 at 23:56 #1718786I backed Crambo at Ascot, but got to be against him at the prices for anything at Cheltenham / left-handed. The rain has come – to a degree – now Soft, Good-Soft in places. Don’t like going against horses from in form stables, but if proper “soft” ground, that would imo be against Strong Leader’s chance… and then there’s the breathing problem / wind op’ to consider. Do have to question whether the front two in the market are going to run to their bests. So i’m with Gowell Road who might get a positional advantage too, being able to dictate a slower pace here – and has speed from 2 1/2 miles last time out too. That’s if not taken on by Botox Has. Moore’s horse hasn’t been in good form of late and is 25/1 on the machine. But is that “recency bias”? Hasn’t had his Soft ground for a while and is much more consistent on that surface. In my 100% book I have him as a fair 14/1 shot provided the current going description is accurate.
Have backed Gowell Road @ around 4/1 and – agree with All Jeff – Botox Has @ 25/1. Both win only.

Thought for one moment my 25/1 shot was going to win.
I’ll take the win on Gowel Road though.Good pointer towards Lucky Place for the Stayers Hurdle too.
