Cheers Gerald , will give it a go.
Re Sir Daniel Cooper & Flair , in the Raciana list there’s a D Cooper registered from 1877 orange & white hoops white cap. Seems reasonable to assume that could be the same guy.

    thanks again

Gosh, I’ve been helpful for once.

Yes, it seemed to me that he went from Britain to Australia, and then came back. If he was running horses in Australia, one would have thought he had been running horses beforehand as well, particularly as he joined the Jockey Club in the early to mid 90s, and ended up chairing one of their cttees.

Makes a change from making a hash of things, which I am currently doing with the 2010 Grand National.

Gorytus and Glad Rags (1000 Guineas winner) carried the colours of Mrs James P. Mills, who in the US raced under the banner of Hickory Tree Stable. Their horse Believe It finished third in both the 1978 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stks. Her UK colours were LIGHT GREEN, YELLOW SASH, CHECKED SLEEVES, LIGHT GREEN CAP. Hickory Tree Stable’s US colours were GREEN, YELLOW SASH, YELLOW BLOCKS ON SLEEVES.
