Mike might have 20’s about this horse, he might not.
Mike might have put it up because it was the first horse that went blue on oddschecker, he might not.I sympathise with those calling for moderators to step in.
However, trouble with that is with any individual post it is possible Mike is telling the truth. So personally I can’t see how the mods can or should act.
But regular users of the forum know this type of thing happens too often with Mike to be a coincidence… And he’s just not a good enough judge for bookies to shorten everything he backs (which does happen with some punters)…And because of the above there will be times Mike will be questioned when he may have done nothing wrong. Mike should however know, that when he puts up odds that appear fanciful it is frustrating for those who’ve taken believable odds at believable times… Also puts off many TRFers (including me) of writing on these pages.

“Mike should however know, that when he puts up odds that appear fanciful it is frustrating for those who’ve taken believable odds at believable times… Also puts off many TRFers (including me) of writing on these pages.”I dont claim to have any influence of bookies shortening my picks. For example Mill Green who i backed 9s antepost for the veterans before its postponement was 10 and 12s at final decs. On the other side of the coin Major Dundee was available at 20s with one firm i have an account with and it seems other uk punters shared the same view of punting on it as the price went from feedback received on this thread. If the price has changed it doesn’t make my bet fanciful. Same for the other uk punters on at 20s. As for this putting off TRFers from giving their views on the races i don’t see why it should stop them.
If someone got on at a bigger price and i got a lesser price on a race i have at times posted to tell them its a nice price they are on rather than moaning or sulking that the price is no longer there.January 11, 2024 at 16:11 #1676931If you like Major Dundee, then grab the 100/1 for the national now while available.
Shown at PP BF and Uni as of 2 mins ago.January 11, 2024 at 18:35 #1676938“If you like Major Dundee, then grab the 100/1 for the national now while available.”
He’d struggle to get in unless he gives these a good thrashing. Not sure he is that superior to all of these.

100% agree with GT – but for the gaslighting, fantasy prices, kindergarten antics, I’d continue to post here regularly.
There are some good ante-post and 48-hour decs judges and some good people generally here – I won’t drag them into this by naming them – but I totally sympathise with those who tire of this obvious nonsense.

it may say I am but I’m not
Matron gives me the mod tools now and again to update the roll of honour / awards winners etc and hasn’t taken it back as of yet
think he may have forgotten…

January 12, 2024 at 00:57 #1676964Happy to finally settle on Volcano here. Was tempted by Broken Halo, but happy with just the one, as I’ll be three up in The Veterans
Volcano 25’s EW 5Pls
January 12, 2024 at 11:09 #1676993I’ve already got Major Dundee in a double with Nemean Lion.
But the more I look at her form the more I’m tempted by the Skelton horse. Not coming up against anything like the calibre of horses she’s been up against recently.
January 12, 2024 at 16:46 #1677036Same two for me Tizaards Cider, I’ve split stakes on them.
January 13, 2024 at 09:20 #1677104The extra distance seemed to help Broken Halo at Sandown last time, unfortunately he fell. He is a big price here and I’m willing to take my chance with him.

January 13, 2024 at 10:34 #1677115Most of this thread isn’t even about the race
Credo has caught my eye here with Sam on board. The more I know the less I understand.
January 13, 2024 at 13:03 #1677146I struggled to narrow down the field here, but I eventually settled on Rapper at 18-1, and Broken Halo at 20-1
January 13, 2024 at 13:06 #1677148Tough one to break down.
I reckon Fontaine Collonges is a little better than a 140 mare, and I’m more than convinced she’ll get the trip.
Beauport has always threatened to take a race like this and 141 is a very workable mark.
January 13, 2024 at 13:07 #1677149Broken Halo 20s – a punt
Also chucked Malina Girl in a double with Ramses.January 13, 2024 at 13:26 #1677158Guetapan Collonges and Beauport for me.
January 13, 2024 at 13:35 #1677165City Chief e.w , need a bit disappointing this season so far but has form to run well here
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
January 13, 2024 at 14:24 #1677181A nice handicap ( haven’t been many this season ) and I’ll have Credo
Half sister to Cyclop ( 3 mile 6 winner ) and Innisfree Lad ( third in an Eider )
Jockey doesn’t have a great Warwick record considering the amount of good rides he gets here but Credo is already a course winner - AuthorPosts
