My attention was drawn to the 3.40 at Newton Abbott today when my friend informed me of a gamble on the Mc Manus horse so i sat down and watched it and of course the horse duly obliges.
Happy days for the connections and i’m not 1 for giving out about a team trying to land a bit of a touch but this just seems a bit insulting today.
This horse has been beaten an aggregate of over 200 lengths in his previous 4 races on similar ground over a similar trip and the same jockey as today was used in 3 of them races yet on his 1st start in a handicap today after his last race which was less than a month ago he wins at ease following a change of tactics from his previous efforts where he went off like a scolded cat and then faded tamely and finished down the field, the cynics among us might say he was running from the front to disguise his true ability, surely not
!?May 9, 2013 at 17:17 #439143Incidentally were you on when he was beaten?
May 9, 2013 at 18:02 #439147Didn’t back him or back against him in any of his previous runs or today.
