Midnight Affair was definitely a bit of a disappointment at Ascot, but I can forgive her that, given how promising she looked before. Already ran well here, so happy with an early bet at 25’s

    Midnight Affair 25’s

Non Runner, won’t have another in this.

    Is ramatuelle an intended runner?

I’d have her form in the morny a good bit ahead of these

Symbology was well beaten last time, but I’ve bet her here to bounce back into a place at 33-1 ew

Soprano all the way for me.
She was unlucky last time out to be slowly away and made an eyecatching recovery to finish 3rd.
I’ve seen her in the flesh at Newmarket and she looked fit and ready.
Look forward to seeing her again on Saturday to check her out in the parade ring as this time of year we can often get a few clues as to their wellbeing. Jac

The 2nd fav is a French horse

The form of her last race, which she admittedly won easily is dirt

The 2nd was well beaten in a group 3 next time

The 3rd is an 87 rated horse

Relief rally is 9/4 and that seems like good value to me

This looks a particularly poor renewal of what is often a very good race and she has proven herself to be the best of the British

Just whether super soumi can work his magic on the French filly

I fancy far too many favs this weekend, normally ends badly for me

I’ve joined the Soprano bandwagon driven by the Queen of Newmarket :-) Ryan Moore put in a good word for her (the filly, not our Newmarket guru, though I suspect he would respect Trip’s form at the course if he knew her) in his Sporting Life column.

Sadly Soprano ran no sort of race today green although she looked fit and well she had a lot of restraining tackle round her mouth which seemed to be bothering her in the pre parade as her mouth was all frothed up. All cleaned up by the time she entered the main parade ring. I’m not sure if she usually wears this sort of gear but it was bothering her today. Maybe they put a sort of anti rearing restraint on her because she reared in the stalls on opening last time out. Whatever it was she was not happy.

Apologies to anyone who followed me in with Soprano I really felt she had a decent chance of winning this, but don’t give up on her and hope they may put a softer restraint on her next time no excuses but, it could make the difference. Jac :rose:

No bother Jac, I’d decided to back her anyway before I opened the thread and I guess we’re all big enough here to make our own decisions.

Thanks for the info about the paddock, hope she has a nicer time next time.
Bonne chance with any bets today :-)

The French horse looked like she absolutely hated the track

Bet soumillon wishes he’d ridden at longchamp

Thanks green be interesting to see her next run. :good:

Yes FF the french filly so disappointing.
In the parade ring I thought she showed signs of having been clipped but the pattern on her hind quarters disguised it and you couldn’t see it on TV when I watched the replay.
    Again time will tell..Jac :rose:
