This normally weakest 2yo race of meeting but last few years had stars in it Ballydoyle last year and a champion 2yo filly in Maybe and i think same trainer win it this year
CHURCHILL 3/1
Been a lot of talk of Cunco more down to being first Frankel horse to won he look better as race went on and he open to improvement. But for me i think CHURCHILL a decent 2yo was 3rd in 6f maiden but look at last furlong powered home no doubt he romp home in a 7f maiden. but fact he is coming here is intresting no doubt he can win 7f group races this year with more progress next year.
June 13, 2016 at 20:03 #1251166Unoriginal selection but the way Frankel has started his stud career I think CUNCO is one of the bankers of the whole meeting in what is traditionally one of the weaker two year old races.
June 16, 2016 at 18:49 #1251861Way betting is looks like a 2 horse race but not as simple as that i still think CHURCHILL will win i think he colt who improve on his 2nd run be up to taking group races at 7f this year.
June 16, 2016 at 22:50 #1251891Cunco & Frankuus 1st and 2nd, win, each way and reverse forecast say no more Jac Can’t wait to see this race but will be watching from Newmarket on the big screen.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...June 17, 2016 at 11:08 #1251935Be surprised if CUNCO dosent win this.
Alot of talk about CHURCHILL but CUNCO looks very very decent to me.
June 17, 2016 at 22:53 #1252112I think having backed Berkshire and Richard Pankhurst before in this race I have to look past the favourite and have backed ISOMER. He ran really well first time out against Cunco and beat the rest easily.
Andrew Balding has a good record overall with two year olds this season and has a nearly twenty per cent strike rate.
My main worry is that he hasn’t had a two year old Royal Ascot winner but at 18/1 BOG I am willing to take the chance he can break his duck.
June 18, 2016 at 13:43 #1252268Need to watch out for the french horse! This is the most experienced horse in the field. He will have a soft lead travelling powerfully, finds plenty too! Good price 14/1
June 18, 2016 at 13:57 #1252279I’m split on this, I like Cunco, and he looked good once the penny finally
dropped at Newbury, but at the odds I’m going to take a chance on MAGILLEN
who was finishing best of all in his maiden at Leicester. To be honest I
think Frankie thought he had won it as he didn’t seem to push him particularly
hard in the last stride or two. The winner (by a nose) was one horse over from him
and I think he was watching Prerogative, who was leading until the last few strides,
and who he pipped on the line. 20/1 seems big to me.June 18, 2016 at 14:36 #1252289Unlucky there Raymo.
From the evidence of that race Galileo still holds the whiphand in the sire stakes.
June 18, 2016 at 14:46 #1252291Did my ears deceive me or did Jim McGrath say that Airwave’s pedigree was “Northern Dancer free”. Northern Dancer was the sire of Topsider, in turn sire of Salse who sired Airwave’s father Air Express. That is hardly “Northern Dancer free”.
June 18, 2016 at 14:47 #1252292Thanks Judge It ran really well and I did think it would turn the form around with Cunco.
I think the winner is useful though.
June 18, 2016 at 14:48 #1252293Wins guineas next year
June 18, 2016 at 14:58 #1252295Well done Darren 3/1 what a price!!
June 18, 2016 at 15:05 #1252296Well done Darren, 3/1 was a great price, he’s definitely going places.
Isomer ran a cracker Raymo, 25/1 will do nicely mateJune 18, 2016 at 19:50 #1252339Wins guineas next year
On another thread you wrote: FRANKEL WAS A SPECIAL HORSE AND WILL BE A SPECIAL SIRE, EXTREMELY LIKELY TO WIN BOTH GUINEAS NEXT YEAR AND POSSIBLY THE DERBY!
So Churchill wins the guineas, despite it having been sired by Galileo and not Frankel? I’m confused
June 18, 2016 at 21:51 #1252352Unlucky there Raymo.

Galileo is the ultimate sire Judge – probably the greatest of all time. But I might point out that so far he has had 10 two year old runners and only 1 of them, Churchill, has won. Compare that to his son, 4 out of 5, and Frankel isn’t doing toooooo badly………….
"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"

True Joni but how they are judged is by the very best races, not how many races they win around tinpot tracks like Catterick.
Surely judging by the thread on how Frankel will rule the world, you are expecting his horses to “redefine how we rated horses” then you must have been disappointed by the fact he hasn’t had a winner this week?
