Sorry Raymo I had to chuckle at that. Quite honestly the story of my season has followed that pattern. Last year I was going into Cheltenham with my best ever book of ante posts. This year could quite easily be my worst!

My lucky 15 throughout the week is…

    Brewinupastorm 11/2
    Copperhead 7/2
    Defi Du Seuil 6/4
    Paisley Park 8/13

Looking at about £2800 if it lands, which would be quite nice!

    My Tuesday lucky 15 with Bet365 being…

    Edwardstone 14/1
    Brewinupastorm 11/2
    Supasundae 12/1
    Lord Du Mensil 7/1

    £32,000 return

Nice work MoM and you were the only one from before Christmas to correctly predict which races your 4 would contest and get them to the start. Food for thought.
Atthepost had a nice double too.

That goes some way to explaining why I seldom bet antepost at Cheltenham. I see little point in tying up my money for months on a race the horse may not even run in.

Also, Cheltenham is about the only meeting of the year when you can get good prices and a reasonable amount on with the bookmakers on the day itself. They also bet to crazy each way terms. Fred went 4 places on the Gold Cup, Bartlett and Foxhunter, 5 places on the Grand Annual and the Pipe and 6 places on the County. If you picked carefully, you were effectively getting a free bet in every race as long as the obstacles did not get in the way.
