Welcome to the forum Joliff.
I saw Kia Kaha win in the flesh first time out at Uttoxeter and he looked a real good prospect. Haven’t had an in depth look at the race yet but if the price is decent he’ll be one of my selections today.

November 17, 2007 at 11:46 #125207L’ami – the best horse in the race and can defy top weight in a lesser race
I’d go along with that. It looks a thin renewal of the Servo Computers Chase to me (NB didn’t take long for me to get used to not calling it the Flowers Original – I believe my Chufftie Badge is in the post
), and, as APRacing alluded to, entirely reliable types are in short supply.I’ll take the French raider to land this before probably just coming up short in better races for the remainder of the campaign.

November 17, 2007 at 11:50 #125208Hello,
METAL DETECTOR, [Cross Country], will like the going, will come off the pace, but whether he gets the distance.. could be the problem. But he has won over 3m+ going away, so there is hope….33/1 ain’t a bad price

Unlucky. I think the course might have blown his brains, to be honest, and he never looked like going in for you after the first circuit.
In addition to, or maybe instead of that explanation, I was standing on the inside of the run-in near the trial jumps, and he was making a terrible wheezing noise every time he passed – odd, really, as he is usually sound enough in wind at least to be able to stagger up Towcester’s stiffer contours better than many.

November 17, 2007 at 12:29 #125218I agree with Jeremy, i think L’Ami is a good bet today.
Seems to be the best horse in the race in my opinion.
Im quite looking forward to seeing Simon run again today, in that same race. Was a horse i was keeping an eye on last year and i was quite impressed whenever i saw him. Was travelling well in the National too until he fell at one of the latter obstacles.
Think L’Ami will take this one though.

November 17, 2007 at 14:25 #125248Horrible fall from Willyanwoody, commiserations to all connections involved with the horse.
Hope Ruby is ok too, dislocated his shoulder but maybe lucky to get away with just a dislocated shoulder because it was a very nasty fall.
