1.20 Fundamentalist
2.30 Freneys Well
3.05 Snap Tie
3.45 Imperial CommanderNovember 15, 2007 at 21:56 #124980fancy TOP OF THE CHARTS in the first, FUNDERMENTALIST in the second, MILLORD LESCRIBAA in the amature race (pipe has jocked off mr p. dick who rode it before at the course and made a real fecking mess).
VODKA BLEU must go well if he gets in (am on at 15/1) and also on BOB HALL at 16/1 in the paddy power.
thought i’d got a real dark one for the first race on sat SEVEN IS LUCKY, but just seen a thread on hear about the horse DOH…
like the look of I’M SPARTACUS in the 3mile h/c hurdle if mr a.king decides not to balls up the handicap and leaves blazing baileys at home.
banker of the meeting is BOB BOB BOBBIN if it runs in the 3m3f chase on sat.
off to chelters first thing in the morning for 3 days of drinking and gambling
how sweet life can be…. BRING IT ON
November 15, 2007 at 22:43 #124992Tricky card so I am a having one bet.
Favourite but certain to run a big race "Spot the Difference" loves the track and sure to be spot on.
November 15, 2007 at 23:21 #124999i fancy
12:45 boleybawn star
1:20 ofarel d`airy
1:55 baodai
2:30 spot the diferrence
3:05 snap tieNovember 15, 2007 at 23:37 #125003I agree that tomorrow looks tricky. May well avoid a bet altogether, however every ounce of logic in my being is telling me to lay Spot Thedifference if I can get him at anythng like 5/2, but something deep down just can’t let me do it! Might just settle for backing Puntal instead.

As for Saturday, I’ve got L’Antartique in my TTF, so I’m hoping he does the business. He’s won over C&D and Ferdy Murphy’s got the run into him that his fleet invariably need. Think there’s still a bit of improvement to come from him.
November 15, 2007 at 23:54 #125005might back Freneys Well in the cross country and have an optimistic ew on Metal Detector.

November 16, 2007 at 08:54 #125023Right, about to hop into the Columnmobile and head off to Cheltenham. Haven’t had time to look at the card in huge detail but I’d agree that MILORD LESCRIBAA is a bit better than he has shown – or, in the case of Daniel Pick’s slightly ill-judged ride two starts ago, was able to show – in recent weeks, and I’d be hopeful that compensation awaits.
Big runs and safe returns home from all the lovely veterans (yes, including Happy Hussar) would rate my primary interest, though.

November 16, 2007 at 10:06 #125033I’m waiting for Saturday. Looks an extremely tricky card today. Tempted by Glasker Mill in the Graduation chase. After his win at Fontwell last year, he was high in the betting for the big novice chases at the Festival before his jumping went to pot. Mediocre field in front of him today, and at 6/1, could be the value if his jumping problems have been ironed out.
November 16, 2007 at 10:32 #125037Re Saturday, Blazing Bailey heads the field in the 3M handicap hurdle, so there are only two other runners in the handicap.
The 3M 3F handicap chase features a right bunch of twicers and several jockeys will be hoping for a sunny afternoon and a chance to get a few fences removed!
Franchoek continues in the footsteps of Katchit in the juvenile hurdle and seems sure to be a short priced favourite.

November 16, 2007 at 11:41 #125047Hello,
METAL DETECTOR, [Cross Country], will like the going, will come off the pace, but whether he gets the distance.. could be the problem. But he has won over 3m+ going away, so there is hope….33/1 ain’t a bad price

regards,
doyley
November 16, 2007 at 14:27 #125063My selections for this afternoon at Cheltenham:-
2:30 – Royal Auclair
3:05 – Spectait
3:45 – Nation StateK.
November 16, 2007 at 14:46 #125065I hope the connections do the decent thing now and reture Spotthedifference. He won again but at what price.
Let the old boy retire on a high.

November 16, 2007 at 14:48 #125066I think the horse is fine to race again. As for the jockey..
November 16, 2007 at 21:22 #125130Hi, new to this board but for what its worth this is what i think of tomorrow, incidentally it will be my firs time to cheltenham:
Kia Kaha – looked a nice progressive type last time and im sure mccoy and jonjo will have sorted out his awkward jumping.
It’s My Boy: Jumps well in the main and could be really fit for this one.
Franchoek: the next katchit? won his last race really well.
Vodka Bleu: second here last year, is remarkably weighted judged on that and think he will take the beating.
Sonnyanjoe: comes in good form and with doubts over the ground with blazing bailey, hes the next best.
L’ami – the best horse in the race and can defy top weight in a lesser race
