Chelmsford Standard Times

Since Chelmsford re-waxed their polytrack surface to help cure the kickback, and comparing the Racing Post standard times against the winning times of the last meeting 1/10/2015, I found the surface is now riding 5.0s. faster.

You only have to look at the going allowance “Top Speed” had for the meeting at +0.62s/f, which would put it in the “fast” category, the official going description was given as “standard” on the day.

Racing Post Chelmsford AW standard times:

My new adjusted standard times to account for the speed increase:
5.00 57.10
6.00 69.30
8.00 95.00
9.00 108.30

13.30 164.35
14.00 173.60
16.00 200.00

The Top Speed going allowance would have been approx +0.15s/f (standard) using the new adjusted standard times.
