Pointless thread it may be but some people are posting on average almost 15 times a day (mostly crap too)….. that seems sad
is flyposting not illegal?From someone who reads, but rarely posts. There are lots of good topics, but they spiral into crap…
I think the moderators do an amazing job, and a word in the ear of some of the pointless posters may well have the desired effect.
The fact that some people can have over 500 posts within a couple of months says everything…I’m told if you sift through enough shite you might find a golden nugget….but its been a while since i’ve seen any on here.

Imo, the ‘Star’ system doesn’t help.
Some new posters seem to think they are some sort of second class member until they have 5 stars, and post just about anything to reach that level.
Does it really serve any proper purpose?Not all new members are after their stars quick
68 posts in 6 months for myself is probably below average, but there’s no point in posting just for the sake of it! A lot of topics have been generated around PN/KS/Denman etc, in fact I was guilty myself of starting the topic of Rivalry In The Paul Nicholls Stable, but at the time I thought it was valid to do so.Why not change the star system to 1 star for each year of membership. The poster of the year and order of merit competition winners could be awarded an additional star as well as their regular annual star.
I would be awarded 6 stars for making this suggestion

Wonder if the same bumper-to-bumper forum is matched in the flat season? There tends to be a huge mass of jumping fanatics here.
I’ve never really had many people that I can talk to about racing on a regular basis, so when I found this forum I thought I’d died and gone to heaven…if I rabbit on about things, please feel free to tell me to shut up….

I swear I never knew I had 5*s till I read this post….haven’t a clue what they are supposed to represent and care even less. Everyone on here should be a member nothing more nothing less IMO unless they are a Mod then we know who’s ass to sook up to
